Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and shimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Azure Afternoon Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Berry Burst Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/2" of different colored scalloped lines on white background design from Bright & Beautiful 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 2-3/8" x 3-1/8" from Azure Afternoon Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3-1/2" of Berry Burst paper from Soft Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper Combo Pack
Insert the Berry Burst cardstock rectangle into the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder so the lines of music will run horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Berry Burst rectangle to the front of the Azure Afternoon card.
Adhere the piece of Bright & Beautiful Designer Paper to the front of the card so it is centered top to bottom and is about 1/2" from the left side and the points of the scallop lines are pointing up.
As you are ready to stamp using the Carousel Horses Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Lay one of the small horses on a pole image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block D to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Azure Afternoon Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical white rectangle.
Lay the matching, connected, small mane and tail image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block B to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped horse image so the tail and mane are lined up inside the stamped outlines.
Lay the small saddle and decorative tack image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block A to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Berry Burst Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped horse image so the saddle and girth are lined up inside the stamped outlines.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Azure Afternoon rectangle.
Adhere the matted carousel horse image to the front of the card as shown so it is about 1" from the top and about 1/2" from the right side. It should overlap the right side of the designer paper a bit.
Pick out the small base die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of one end of the Berry Burst shimmer paper strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed Keep ALL the pieces.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the shimmer paper base cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and just overlaps the bottom of the stamped pole.
Pick out the large center pole and carousel tent top die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of the remaining Berry Burst shimmer paper strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you'll cut out the very top of the tent with the scallops and dots. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces as needed
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off any excess shimmer paper from the tent top.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the shimmer paper tent top cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is just overlaps the top of the pole with the scallops pointing down.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Azure Afternoon ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
