Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, or Just Jade Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink.
Mount the large camellia flowers bunch image from the Calming Camellia Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, or Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large, horizontal white rectangle at a slight angle so the bottom of the stem is pointing to the lower left corner and is about 1" from the left edge and the top of the flower bunch is about 3/8" from the top edge.
Tip: If making multiple cards of different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Mount the leaf image from the Calming Camellia Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, or Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it on the large, horizontal white rectangle just to the left of the stamped flower bunch so the bottoms of the stems almost touch. The image will go off the left edge a bit. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just below the stamped flower bunch so the ends of the stems almost touch. The image will go off the bottom edge a bit. Leave the stamp on the block for now.
Cut a 6" piece of the ribbon you choose to use.
If using a thin ribbon like the Just Jade & Gold 3/8" Braided Ribbon or Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon, lay the ribbon across the bottom of the stamped white rectangle so the bottom edge of the ribbon is about 3/4" from the bottom of the cardstock. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back of the rectangle using strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere to the front of the Just Jade or Evening Evergreen card.
If using a fat ribbon like the Mint Macaron 1/2" Soft Velvet Ribbon, put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive horizontally across the bottom of the stamped white rectangle about 7/8" from the bottom of the rectangle. Remove the protective backing and adhere the ribbon to the Tear & Tape so the bottom of the ribbon is about 3/4" from the bottom of the rectangle. Trim off excess ribbon on the left and right edges. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Mint Macaron card.
Mount the "It's the little things that make life great," "You're In My Thoughts Today," or "Lovely You" sentiment from the Calming Camellia Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, or Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the remaining, horizontal white strip in the center, leaving room to punch it out.
Tip: If making multiple cards of different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Unlock the Everyday Label Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Lay the punched out sentiment on some Grid Paper. Re-ink the leaf image on Block D with the Mint Macaron, Evening Evergreen, or Just Jade Ink Pad. Stamp the edge of the image all around the edge of the sentiment punch out remembering to re-ink the stamp each time.
Tip: If making multiple cards of different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals, to adhere the stamped sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon on the right side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up two small and one large butterfly from a sheet of Brushed Brass Butterflies making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up gems from a sheet of 2021-2023 In Color Jewels or dots from a sheet of Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the right and left edges of the sentiment punch out as shown.
If using a thin ribbon like the Just Jade & Gold 3/8" Braided Ribbon or Evening Evergreen 3/8" Chevron Weave Ribbon, cut a 3-1/2" piece of the ribbon. Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front so it is just over the area where the stems meet on the left side. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
If using a fat ribbon like the Mint Macaron 1/2" Soft Velvet Ribbon, cut a 4" piece of the ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon in place on the left side of the ribbon near where the stems meet.
