H
appy Easter to you all! Today is a really busy day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord Jesus, so here's a quick birthday card made with the Cake Soiree stamp set.
I hope you enjoy it!
Project Recipe
For this card you will need:
Powder Pink 1 cut to 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" & 1 cut to 4" x 5". Score and Fold at 4 1/4".
Sweet Sorbet DSP Flowers with the white background 1 cut to 4" x 4" & 1 cut to 1 1/2" x 4"
Vellum 1 cut to 3 3/4" x 3 3/4"
Silver foil 1 cut to 4' x 5"
Old Olive 1 cut to 3" x 3"
Use the Silver foil to cut out the table top and stand from the Sweet Cake Framelits, and the Celebrate from Celebrate you Thinlits.
At this time you should also cut out 2 sets of the leaves in Old Olive and set aside.
Now take the Powder Pink paper and using Versamark ink, stamp the cake with the flowers(found in 1 of 2 Cake Soiree set). Dust with White Embossing powder and heat with Heat your heat tool. Once it is cool, use the Cake framelit to die cut the cake out, then carefully color in the flowers with the Stampin' Blends. I used Old Olive for the leaves, Dark Pink Pirouette, Light Calypso Coral, Light Rich Razzleberry, & Light Night of Navy for the flowers.
Take the flowered Sweet Sorbet DSP and center it at the top and sides of the Powder pink card base. Use snail adhesive to adhere it. Next take the Vellum and put a single bit of tape in the center about 1" long and center it on the flowered DSP, leaving about 1/8" showing on all sides. Now take the Ribbon and put snail adhesive on the back before laying it along the bottom of the flowered paper and pressing it down. Trim off the sides.
At this point you can put it all together. Start with the silver table stand. Line it up in the center, the top touching the bottom of the ribbon and adhere it to the card with snail tape. Now the table top. Next put mini dimensionals on the back of the cake, and place it on the table. Take the die cuts of the leaves and use snail tape or tombow glue to have them coming out the bottom sides of the cake as shown. Tie a little bow and adhere it to the top of the cake. Finally, glue or snail tape the word Celebrate at the top.
Lastly I took the 1 1/2" x 4" strip of DSP and pasted it to the front of the Envelope.
I also made a matching tag by using one of the Sweet Soiree Memories and more cards and the Tag die cut from the Sweet Cake Framelets, tied it with a bit of Bakers twine and it's ready for a gift.
This worked well with other colors and papers from the Same DSP as you can see. I hope you enjoyed this card!
