P retty pocket card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 4-1/2" x 9-1/2" and scored at 4-3/4"
- 4" x 4-1/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 4-3/8" of small blue and cream butterflies and tiny dark and light blue flowers on white background design from Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, make sure the butterflies are flying the right way when the paper is vertical
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3/4" x 4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-5/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Night of Navy Cardstock
Carefully punch out a small, solid wooden flower element from a sheet of Butterfly Elements. Press one side of the flower element against the open Balmy Blue Ink Pad firmly and repeatedly. Set it aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: You can use the putty tip of the Take Your Pick tool to pick up and hold the wooden element in place so you don't get ink on your fingers.
Fold the Balmy Blue card in half and then open it back up. Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the two long sides of one inside flap. Get the adhesive as close to the edges as you can. Remove the protective backings and close the card. You should have a pocket with an opening across one short edge.
Adhere the piece of Needlepoint Nook Designer Paper to the large rectangle of Night of Navy.
Adhere the thin strip of Night of Navy across the center (horizontally) of the matted designer paper.
Adhere the matted designer paper to the front of the card.
Making sure that you only have one doily, adhere one Pearlized Doily to the center of the card front.
As you are ready to stamp using the Butterfly Gala Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the small and large outline butterfly image of your choice from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Mount the larger butterfly body image from the Butterfly Gala Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the larger butterfly image.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-1/8" diameter circle. Place the stamped butterflies image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the butterflies image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Carefully roll the butterflies circle cut out across the open Night of Navy Ink Pad so only the edge of the circle is touching the pad. This will lightly outline the circle in Night of Navy.
Adhere the butterflies circle cut out to the center of the Pearlized Doily on the card front.
Mount the sentiment of your choice from the Butterfly Gala Set on an appropriately sized block. Ink it up with the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle about 1/2" from the top short edge.
Unlock the Circle Tab Punch. Slide the piece of Night of Navy Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Fold the Circle Tab punch out in half. Open the tab back up. Put small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the inside of each side of the circle tab punch out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the circle tab punch out to the top of the stamped white rectangle so a base of the tab punch is on each side of the white cardstock.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the colored wooden flower element to the front of the circle tab in the center of the circle portion.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a small or medium Night of Navy dot from a sheet of Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere the dot to the center of the colored wooden flower element.
Slide the insert into the pocket of the card.
