Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pale Papaya Cardstock
- 3-5/8" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-7/8" of small, mulitcolored flowers on vanilla background design from Pansy Petals 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the Butterfly Brilliance stamp on Block F. Ink it up with the Pale Papaya Ink Pad. Leave the inked up stamp rubber side up on your work surface. Place the large vanilla rectangle on top of the inked up stamp. Fold the Grid Paper over on top of the stamp with cardstock on top and rub firmly all over. Unfold the Grid Paper and remove the stamped vanilla cardstock rectangle.
Use the Paper Trimmer to cut long strips from either side of the vertical butterfly stamped rectangle that are each 1" wide. This should give you two strips that are 1" x 5-1/8" and one strip that is 1-5/8" x 5-1/8" long.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the strips on the vertical Pale Papaya rectangle so they are evenly spaced with a little bit of Pale Papaya showing on the top, bottom, and side edges. Adhere them in place one at a time.
Adhere the piece of Pansy Petals Designer Paper to the bottom of the matted vanilla strips/Pale Papaya rectangle. A small amount of Pale Papaya should show on the bottom, left, and right edges.
As you are ready to stamp using the Pansy Patch Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Pansy Patch Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the vertical white strip in the center. Leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked. Keep all the pieces.
Slide the leftover end of the white strip into the unlocked punch so you will punch out the slit. Now, slide the leftover end of the white strip with the slit punched in it into the unlocked punch so you will punch out a rounded end. Get the slit centered in the rounded end as close to the edges as possible. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Lay the punched out bit on the BACK of the sentiment punch out lining up the rounded edges on one side. Use a pencil to draw inside the slit area. Repeat with the other rounded edge.
Slide the marked sentiment punch out into the unlocked punch and get the marked area centered inside the slit punch. Punch. Repeat with the other end.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Thread the sentiment label punch out onto the ribbon and get it positioned on the ribbon on the right side. Put some lines of adhesive on the BACK of the sentiment label punch out.
Adhere the ribbon with sentiment punch out threaded on it across the matted designer paper/stamped strips/Pale Papaya rectangle so the sentiment label punch out is on the right side and the ribbon covers the seam between the designer paper and stamped strips. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Pale Papaya rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
Cut a 4" piece of the Fresh Freesia 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card on the left side of the sentiment label punch out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Pick out a large Fresh Freesia flower and two small Fresh Freesia flowers from the Loose Flower Flourishes. Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the flowers to the card front. as shown. You may need to squish down the Glue Dots behind the smaller flowers.
