U sing the Botanical Builder Framelits, I wanted a card with a light, airy, and floral look. Using Whisper White and Daffodil Delight, I made layered flowers and made another couple of flowers from So Saffron. Leaves are a combination of styles from Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive. After the Here's To You greeting the card opens to wish "happiest birthday wishes". Easy to put together, it can be used for any occasion.
Project Recipe
Card Stock in Whisper White is the card base that measures 6 7/8 x 5 1/2.
Daffodil Delight Card Stock measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches. Use the Botanical Builder framelit to cut a wedge of leaves from top to the bottom of the card.
Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock that measures 2 3/8 x 5 5/16 and add this piece to the left of the yellow card face. This is where you will place your greeting and place the flowers and leaves to decorate the front of the card.
Cut flowers from the Botanical Builder framelit set to fill in the card face. You can use any flower or leaf and layer them if you'd like. I used an odd number of flowers in different shades of yellow and white with different centers as provided by the framelit set. The leaves are cut from the same set in Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive card stock.
Decide on your greeting and stamp whatever greeting you desire on Whisper White card stock and nestle your greeting among the flower petals and the leaves. I used Delightful Dijon ink. The greeting was placed on dimensionals. The face of the card is complete.
The inside stamped layer measures 3 3/4 x 5 inches and is from Whisper White card stock. The stamped greeting I used was from the stamp set included in the Water Color Wishes kit --"happiest birthday wishes" and I used Delightful Dijon ink. Place this stamped layer on another cut piece of Daffodil Card stock that measures 4 X. 5 1/4 inches and your card is complete
