P retty card perfect for a sympathy, get well, or thinking of you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and foil sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3" square from Gold Foil Sheets
- 3" square of silver and gold leaf sprigs on white background design from Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Open the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder in front of you. Lightly rub the open Crumb Cake Ink Pad over the inside of the front flap (the one that has the "Sizzix" and "Stampin' Up!" logos on it). You are just trying to get a little ink on the raised areas.
Place the Whisper White rectangle inside the inked up Basket Weave Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-9/16" scalloped circle. Place the Gold Foil Sheets square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 2-3/8" circle. Place the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the portion of the design that you want. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the designer paper circle to the center of the scalloped gold circle.
Put some strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the scalloped gold circle. Remove the protective backings, but leave the circle laying in front of you with the adhesive showing.
Wrap some Gold Metallic Thread around your fingers a few times. Cut the thread loose from the spool. Adhere the loops of thread to the adhesive on the back of the scalloped circle so they will stick out to the right side and top when the circle is turned over.
Add more adhesive to the back of the scalloped circle as needed. Adhere the matted circles to the front of the card on the left side so they are centered top to bottom and about 1/4" in from the left side of the white layer.
Pick out a leaf sprig from the Petal Passion Embellishments. Put a Mini Glue Dot on the back of the base of the leaf sprig so that the leaves are curving to the right. Adhere the leaf sprig to the lower right side of the matted circles.
Mount the "here for you" sentiment from the Blossoming Basket Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Crumb Cake strip.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is to the right. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment banner to the front of the card so it covers the end of the Petal Passion Embellishment leaf sprig and overlaps the circles just a bit on the lower right side.
Pick out a flower from the Petal Passion Embellishments. Put a Mini Glue Dot on the back of the flower and adhere it to the left side of the sentiment banner.
