Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and glimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Sweet Sorbet Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Blushing Bride Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of Sweet Sorbet floral design from 2022-2024 In Color 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Assortment
- 1" x 4-3/4" of Sweet Sorbet glimmer paper from 2022-2024 In Color 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper, cut so it fades from darker to lighter along the horizontal strip
- 3-1/2" x 4-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the "thank you for inspiring me" sentiment from the Blessings Of Home Set on Block H. Use the brush tip of the Sweet Sorbet Stampin' Write Marker to ink up ONLY the words "thank you." Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner of the vertical 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle as close to the bottom edge as possible.
Use the Paper Trimmer to cut an angle off the bottom of the vertical Sweet Sorbet floral designer paper rectangle so that you cut about 1" from the bottom left edge and about 1-3/4" from the bottom right edge.
Adhere the large angled piece of Sweet Sorbet floral designer paper to the stamped white rectangle so that the top, left, and right edges are all equal.
Adhere the strip of Sweet Sorbet glimmer paper to the layered white/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the two pieces on the same angle. The bottom of the left side of the glimmer paper should be about 1/2" from the bottom of the white rectangle. The bottom of the right side of the glimmer paper should be about 1-1/4" from the bottom of the white rectangle. The darker side of the glimmer paper should be on the left and the lighter side on the right. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess glimmer paper on the left and right edges.
Adhere the stamped and layered white rectangle to the center of the Blushing Bride rectangle and then to the front of the Sweet Sorbet card.
Mount the large flower bouquet image from the Blessings Of Home Stamp Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Saddle Brown StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the matching, large, open bouquet die from the Flowers Of Home Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bouquet image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Tip: It is often better to cut an image out with dies before spending all the time to color it in. That way if the die slips during the cutting process, you haven't wasted a lot of time on the coloring.
Squeeze the lid of the Blushing Bride Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the centers of the two larger flowers and the petals of the small flowers as shown. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Sweet Sorbet Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the petals of the tiny flowers and three large flowers in the bouquet as shown. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Garden Green Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the veins on the leaves of the bouquet. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Parakeet Party Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use a Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the rest of the leaves of the bouquet and the centers of the teeny and small flowers as shown. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more color is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored bouquet cut out to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 different sized jewels from a sheet of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them in a rough triangle to the upper left corner of the card.
