F un birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Emerald Envy Card Stock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of multicolored banners across white background design from Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper, cut so the banners are running across the paper vertically
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Tempting Turquoise Card Stock
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Crushed Curry Card Stock
- 2-1/2" square from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Card Stock
- scrap of flowers and vines on white background design from Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper
Place banners designer paper rectangle into the Festive Embossing Folder at an angle so the embossed banners will run across the printed banners at an opposite angle. Place the folder with the designer paper inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed designer paper to the Emerald Envy rectangle and then to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of Whisper White Mini Pompom Trim. Tear a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive from the roll. Adhere it to the back of the pompom trim along the flat top of the trim. Peel off the protective backing. Fold any excess adhesive onto itself. Adhere the pompom trim to the top right corner of the Tempting Turquoise rectangle. Trim off excess.
Adhere the turquoise rectangle to the center of the card front so it is about 1/2" from top of designer paper.
Mount llama image from Birthday Fiesta Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the Crushed Curry rectangle. Do not clean or remove the stamp from the block yet.
Pick out the llama framelit from the Fiesta Time Framelits. Place the stamped llama on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the llama framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped llama. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the llama to the top center of the turquoise rectangle.
Ink up the llama image again with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it onto the scrap of flowers and vines designer paper so the blanket/saddle part of the llama is centered over one of the flowers. Cut out the blanket/saddle by hand with Paper Snips.
Adhere the cut out blanket/saddle to the blanket/saddle on the curry llama.
Mount the "fiesta" sentiment on Block H. Ink it up with the Tempting Turquoise Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Unlock the Pretty Label Punch. Hold the punch upside down and slide the card stock in. Center the sentiment in the punching area and punch.
Unlock the 1-3/4" Circle Punch. Slide the Pumpkin Pie Card Stock inside and punch.
Adhere the sentiment punch out over the circle punch out so the circle is centered behind the center of the sentiment.
Adhere the sentiment to the bottom of the turquoise layer so it is centered side to side.
Adhere a heart Emerald Envy shape from the 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes to the top of the sentiment.
Cut a 12" piece of Emerald Envy Solid Baker's Twine. Double it onto itself. Tie a small bow. Trim the ends. Adhere the bow to the bottom of the sentiment label using a Mini Glue Dot.
