S oft and pretty thinking of you or sympathy card using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" of dotted, diagonal gold lines on light green background design from Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-3/4" x 2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
Mount the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Woven Heirlooms Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment on the horizontal Very Vanilla rectangle so it is about 1" from the top edge and 1/4" from the right edge.
As you are ready to stamp using the Birds & Branches Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the long branch image from the Birds & Branches Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vanilla rectangle at a slight angle so the bottom of the branch goes off the left edge a bit about 2" from the bottom and the top tip of the branch is about 5/8" from the top edge and the end of the bottom branch almost touches the "T" at the beginning of the sentiment.
Mount the groupings of leaves image from the Birds & Branches Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Mint Macaron Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vanilla rectangle so it adds the leaves to the ends of the previously stamped branch image.
Adhere the strip of Gilded Autumn Designer Paper to the bottom of the stamped vanilla rectangle.
Adhere the stamped vanilla rectangle/designer paper to the large Crumb Cake rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Mint Macaron 1/2" Basket Weave Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the designer paper/cardstock layers so it hides the seam between the designer paper and vanilla rectangle. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Crumb Cake rectangle. Adhere it to the front of the Mint Macaron card.
Pick out the detailed bird facing to the right die from the Birds & More Dies. Put it on top of the small Crumb Cake rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the bird cut out to the front of the card so it appears to be sitting on the branch on the left side of the card.
Cut a 4" piece of the Mint Macaron 1/2" Basket Weave Ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the ribbon already on the card front on the left side where the branch disappears behind the ribbon.
