F un birthday card perfect for a man using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/2" of orange and vanilla broken stripes on black background design from Spooky Night Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 3-1/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 3/4" x 3-1/2" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/4" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
Place the large Cajun Craze rectangle into the Brick Wall Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide the strip of Spooky Night Designer Series Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Adhere the punched strip of designer paper to the center of the dry embossed Cajun Craze layer so the points of the banner are about 1/2" from the bottom. Trim off excess designer paper along the top if needed.
Adhere the Cajun Craze/designer paper layer to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Pick out the cobblestones framelit from the Build a Bike Framelits. Place the long, skinny strip of Cajun Craze Cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the cobblestones framelit on top on one end as close to the bottom long edge as you can get. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Note: This framelit does NOT cut the cardstock. It just dry embosses it slightly.
Leave the Cajun Craze strip on the Big Shot and just move the cobblestones framelit over slightly to dry emboss the next section of the strip. Put a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat until you have dry embossed across the entire strip.
Use Paper Snips to trim across the top of the cobblestones strip.
Adhere the cobblestones strip to the bottom of the 3" x 3-1/4" vanilla rectangle (along a 3" edge). Use Paper Snips to trim off excess Cajun Craze Cardstock as needed.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Bike Ride stamps, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the bicycle frame image from the Bike Ride Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad and stamp in the center of the 2-1/4" x 3" vanilla rectangle.
Mount the solid handle bar grips image from the Bike Ride Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad and stamp it inside the handle bar grips on the Cajun Craze image.
Mount the solid pedal image from the Bike Ride Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad and stamp it inside the pedal on the Cajun Craze image.
Mount the solid seat image from the Bike Ride Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad and stamp it inside the seat on the Cajun Craze image.
Pick out the bike frame framelit from the Build a Bike Framelits. Place the stamped bike frame image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the bike frame framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped bike frame image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the large circle with spokes image from the Bike Ride Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on one of the vanilla squares. Reink the stamp with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad and stamp it on the other vanilla square.
Mount the smaller open circle image from the Bike Ride Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the previously stamped wheel images. Re-ink the stamp and stamp in the center of the other stamped wheel image.
Pick out the open circle framelit from the Build a Bike Framelits. Place one of the stamped wheel images on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped wheel image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the other wheel image.
Put a Mini Glue Dot on the back of the frame image near the bend at the back of the frame. Adhere the frame to one of the wheels so the bend in the frame is centered over the center of the wheel.
Put another Mini Glue Dot on the back of the frame image at the base of the frame on the front of the bike. Adhere the other wheel to the frame so that the base of the frame on the front of the bike is in the center of the wheel.
Put a few regular Stampin' Dimensionals on the backs of each wheel and some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals scattered around the back of the frame. Peel off the protective backings and adhere the bike to the vanilla/cobblestone rectangle so the wheels just overlap the Cajun Craze cobblestone strip a bit and the front and back wheels go off the edges on the left and right sides just a bit.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess from the back tire to make it even with the left side of the vanilla/cobblestone layer.
Adhere the vanilla/cobblestone/bike rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and about 1/2" of the designer paper banner shows at the top.
Mount the "To A Classic" sentiment from the Guy Greetings Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the long, skinny strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock.
Unlock the Ticket Tear Border Punch. Slide one end of the stamped sentiment strip into the punch and punch. Repeat with the other side. If your strip is too long, punch the ends again as needed.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so that the left side of the sentiment strip hangs over the left side of the vanilla/cobblestone/bike rectangle near the top.
Add two of the larger Pumpkin Pie circle Brights Enamel Shapes to the frame where the frame ends are centered over the wheels.
