T he picture doesn't show how very pretty this card is. It uses soft colors taken from the print with just a touch of bling. The card shown is a Mother's Day card, but I also made up a bunch of these for birthdays. So I included a stamp set for Mother's Day sentiment I used (Dressed to Impress) and the stamp set for Happy Birthday sentiment I used (Timeless Tulip) in the supply list.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Mint Macaron 8 ½ X 11 paper in half width wise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Purple Posy paper 4 X 5 1/4
Card Front: Cut Best Dressed print paper 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
Attach print paper to Purple Posy card mat.
Die cut decorative label with Stitched Label die from Whisper White paper. Stamp sentiment on label with Mint Macaron ink.
Cut 16" of ribbon. Run ribbon through stamped label with ribbon going beneath the label. Adjust your ribbon so ends are to the left of the label. I added a glue dot under the label to keep it in place. Add another glue dot on card front where you want your ribbon knot. Tie knot in ribbon and push into glue dot. This will keep your ribbon in place.
Attach card front to card base.
Attach rhinestones to stamped label.
That's it; you have finished your card front. Wasn't that easy? Cut a piece of 4 X 5 1/4 Whisper White paper to stamp a sentiment for inside of your card or to write a note in your card. Attach this white piece inside your card.
