P layful Easter card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock at least 1-1/4" long
Pick out the stitched rectangle framelit from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits that cuts out a 1-13/16" x 3-3/16" rectangle. Place the Crumb Cake rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched rectangle framelit on top slightly above center. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep both pieces.
Lightly spray the large Crumb Cake rectangle with the rectangle cut out of the center with water. This will help you get a deeper impression when you dry emboss it.
Insert the damp Crumb Cake rectangle with the rectangle cut out of it into the Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Set the dry embossed cardstock aside to let it dry thoroughly.
Tip: You can use a Heat Tool to speed up drying if you wish.
As you are ready to stamp using the More Than Words and Best Bunny Sets, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the bottom half of the word "wishes" image from the More Than Words Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it just below center of the 2" x 3-1/2" vanilla rectangle.
Mount the full word "wishes" image from the More Than Words Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped half word "wishes."
Mount the "Easter" sentiment from the More Than Words Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the word "wishes" so it overlaps a bit.
Pick out the stitched rectangle framelit from the Rectangle Stitched Framelits that cuts out a 1-7/16" x 2-3/4" rectangle. Place the stamped sentiment vanilla cardstock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched rectangle framelit on top so it is centered over the words. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment rectangle cut out to the center of the Crumb Cake rectangle cut out.
If the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle with a rectangle cut out of the center is dry, adhere it to the front of the Crumb Cake card using Tear & Tape Adhesive around the edges.
Adhere the matted sentiment rectangle inside the rectangle cut out on the front of the card.
Mount the bunny bottom image from the Best Bunny Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock so the feet are on the bottom.
Unlock the Bunny Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bunny bottom into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use the Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the bunny's belly. Make sure to have Grid Paper under the cardstock to protect the work surface from ink that will bleed through the cardstock.
Adhere the colored, punched out bunny bottom to the front of the card so it covers the lower bottom corner of the matted sentiment rectangle.
Mount the bunny head image from the Best Bunny Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the horizontal strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock so the ears are pointing to the right.
Holding the unlocked Bunny Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bunny head into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the bunny face image of choice from the Best Bunny Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Petal Pink Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the bunny head.
Use the Petal Pink Stampin' Blends to color in the interiors of the bunny's ears. Make sure to have Grid Paper under the cardstock to protect the work surface from ink that will bleed through the cardstock.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored and stamped bunny head punch out to the front of the card so it is on top of the bunny bottom and slightly tilted.
Mount the set of two bunny paws image from the Best Bunny Set on Block A. Ink them up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp them somewhere on the remaining strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock so the folded ends of the paws are on the bottom.
Holding the unlocked Bunny Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bunny paws into the punch and get them centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Use Paper Snips to cut tiny pieces from the edge of a sheet of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Use the tiny pieces of dimensionals to adhere the punched out bunny paws to the bunny's body.
Mount the bunny tail image from the Best Bunny Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Petal Pink Cardstock.
Holding the unlocked Bunny Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bunny tail into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Adhere the punched out bunny tail to the front of the card so it is tucked behind the left side of the bunny body.
Mount the carrot image from the Best Bunny Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of vanilla cardstock.
Use the Petal Pink and Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Markers to color in the carrot.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the carrot by hand.
Use Paper Snips to cut a tiny piece from the edge of a sheet of Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Use the tiny piece of dimensional to adhere the carrot to the card front so it covers the lower right corner of the matted sentiment rectangle.
