Project Recipe
Score an 11" x 4-1/4" piece of Thick Basic White cardstock at 5-1/2" on the 11" side. Fold on score line to create card Base. Adhere a 5-1/4" x 4" piece of Crushed Curry Cardstock to card front using adhesive.
Brush a 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Basic White cardstock using an Embossing Buddy (anti-static tool). Stamp the honey-comb image from the Bee My Valentine stamp set randomly over the cardstock using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle white embossing powder over the stamped cardstock, shake off excess powder, then heat using the Heat Tool. Using a Blending Brush, blend Crushed Curry ink over the embossed cardstock. The honey-comb images will magically appear! Set the embossed cardstock aside.
Insert 5" x 3-3/4" piece of Basic White cardstock into the crosshatch patterned Basics 3D Embossing Folder then run through a die-cutting machine. With the largest circle die from the Stylish Shapes Dies, cut a circle from the middle of the embossed cardstock using a die-cutting machine. Adhere the embossed-resist honeycomb card behind the cut circle using adhesive. Adhere the entire panel to the card front using adhesive.
Stamp the bee image, the wing image, and the "you make my heart buzz" sentiment from the Bee my Valentine stamp set onto scraps of Basic White cardstock using Sweet Sorbet, Daffodil Delight and Memento inks. Punch the stamped images out using the Bee Builder Punch. Assemble the bee using adhesive. Adhere both the assembled bee and the sentiment tag to the card front per photo using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Rub the Embossing Buddy (anti-static tool) over a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Stamp the heart image from the Bee my Valentine stamp set onto the cardstock three times using Sweet Sorbet ink. Clean ink off of the stamp. Stamp over the heart images again using VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with clear embossing powder, shake off excess, then heat using the Heat Tool. Punch hearts out using the Bee Builder Punch. Adhere hearts to the card front using adhesive.
