Project Recipe
Using Daffodil Delight cardstock, cut a card base at 4 1/4" X 11", and score at 5 1/2". Fold on the score line and burnish the edge with a bone folder.
Take your check patterned DSP, and cut to 4" X 5 1/4". Then adhere, centered, to the card front.
Take the black card stock, cut to 3 1/2" X 4 3/4", and adhere centered to the card front.
Using the Scalloped Contours Dies, cut the white panel using your Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine. Now using black memento ink, stamp the honeycomb pattern on the white card stock.
Fill in various spots of honeycomb using Daffodil Delight using a Stampin' Write marker.
Using the Bee My Valentine stamp set, stamp 2 bee bodies, first using Daffodil Delight, then Black memento ink. Add faces to the bees, and punch out the body using the Bee Builder Punch. Set aside.
Using Vellum and Staz on ink, stamp bee wings twice, and fussy cut them out after they have dried. Then, using the large heart from the Bee Builder punch, cut 2 plain sets of wings from the vellum.
Using scraps cut 2 small black hearts from cardstock with the Bee Builder punch. Now adhere the plain vellum wing over the stamped wing, let dry. Do this for both sets.
Adhere wings to bees on the back side using multipurpose liquid glue. Now, add a little black heart on the front of the bee at the base of the wings. Use Stampin' dimensionals to adhere your bees and give them a pop.
Again using scraps, punch out 2 Daffodil Delight, and 1 black, larger-sized hearts. Stamp love you using memento black ink and arrange in a varied stack and adhere.
Now for the inside: Cut black 4" X 5 1/4" and adhere centered. Then cut white 3 3/4" X 5", center over the black cardstock, and adhere. For decoration, add a stripe of DSP measuring 1/2" X 4" and some small hearts to the bottom of the card.
