C reate simple and bold watercolour images with the Beautiful Day stamp set, inks and an aqua painter.
Project Recipe
Create the front layer of the card by cutting a piece of Shimmery White card stock to measure 14.4 cm x 10 cm and use the smooshing technique to create a watercolour effect - press Soft Sea Foam ink pad onto a sheet of cellophane and lightly spritz with water. Gently press the front layer into this, remove and blot with some paper towel to remove excess moisture. Let air dry or dry with a heat gun.
Adhere the front layer to a Soft Sea Foam card base.
Stamp the flower image three times in Stazon black ink onto a piece of Shimmery White card stock. Paint these images with ink and an aqua painter. I have used So Saffron, Highland Heather and Calypso Coral inks for the flowers and Pear Pizzazz ink for the leaves.
Fussy cut each flower with paper snips, adhere the flowers in a diagonal direction onto the front layer, adhering the top and bottom flowers first with adhesive (I have used Tombow liquid adhesive) then use Stampin' dimensionals to adhere the middle flower to create dimension. Stamp the sentiment onto a strip of Soft Sea Foam card stock with Memento black ink. Add some pearl embellishments.
I also created a butterfly card, using the same technique, colouring it with Balmy Blue and Highland Heather ink, fussy cutting the butterfly and adhering it to a Whisper White card base with Stampin' dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment underneath the butterfly with Memento black ink.
