F un and sparkly Easter card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from So Saffron Card Stock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pear Pizzazz Card Stock
- 3" square from So Saffron Card Stock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from So Saffron Card Stock
- scraps of Whisper White Card Stock
Place Pear Pizzazz rectangle into the Large Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Pear Pizzazz rectangle to the front of the So Saffron card.
Pick out the square framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits that cuts out a 2-5/8" square. Place the large square of So Saffron on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on your Big Shot. Place the square framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the square to the center of the card front so it is about 1/2" from the top of the Pear Pizzazz layer.
Mount the "You're Egg-Stra Special" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Wisteria Wonder Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the So Saffron strip.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Cut a 4" piece of Pool Party 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon. Fold the end of the ribbon in half horizontally. Cut at an angle towards the fold in the ribbon to notch the end of the ribbon. Do the same on the other side. Cut the ribbon in half.
Adhere the two ends of the ribbon to the back of the banner so the notched ends stick out a bit.
Use Paper Snips to cut small pieces of Stampin' Dimensionals from the edge of the sheet. Adhere them to the back of the banner/ribbon. Peel off the protective backings. Adhere the banner/ribbon to the card front so it is centered just below the square.
Mount the Peeps bunny image on Block A. Ink it up with the Pink Pirouette Ink Pad. Stamp it on a scrap of white card stock. Clean the stamp, but don't remove it from the block. Repeat with each of the remaining colors - Soft Sky, So Saffron, Pear Pizzazz, and Wisteria Wonder - stamping them on scraps of white. Don't forget to clean the stamp between colors.
Mount the large decorated egg image on Block A. Ink it up with the So Saffron nk Pad. Stamp on a scrap of white card stock.
Squeeze the lid of the Pink Pirouette Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Gently squeeze the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to get some of the glittery liquid into the brush. Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the Pink Pirouette Peeps bunny image and some of the details on the large egg image. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the brush in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. When you are done coloring with the Pink Pirouette color, scribble the brush back and forth on scratch paper until no more color is coming off. By coloring with the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, you will get a shimmery, colored image.
Repeat the step above using each color of ink pad and coloring in the matching colored Peeps bunny image and part of the egg image. Remember to clean the brush between each color.
Pick out the Peeps bunny framelit from the Basket Builder Framelits. Place one of the stamped and colored Peeps bunny images on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Peeps bunny framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with each of the Peeps bunny images.
Pick out the large open egg framelit from the Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped and colored large egg image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the large open egg framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Without adhering, arrange the Peeps bunny images and the large egg image in evenly spaced rows on the So Saffron square on the card front. When you are happy with the layout and spacing, adhere the Peeps bunny images in place one at a time using SNAIL Adhesive. Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the egg image in place.
