C arrot shaped treat box for Easter using Stampin' Up! products.
Cut card stock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2 pieces of 6" x 6-1/2" from Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
- 1-1/2" x 2" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 1" x 1-1/2" from Whisper White Card Stock
Pick out the triangular box half thinlit from the Cutie Pie Thinlits. Place one of the Pumpkin Pie pieces on the Cutting Pad on top of your Platform on your Big Shot. Place the thinlit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Repeat with the second piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock.
Open the Seaside Embossing Folder. Lightly rub the open Early Espresso Ink Pad across the inside of the back flap (the flap without the Stampin' Up! and Sizzix logos). Place one of the Pumpkin Pie cut outs upside down inside the folder so the lines run horizontally across the triangle section. Close the folder and rub lightly. Remove the striped cut out. Re-ink the folder and put in the other cut out and do the same thing.
Rinse the folder under running water and allow it to air dry.
Fold along all the score lines and use the Bone Folder to make them crisp.
Cut off the short flap on the end of one of the pieces.
Put Tear & Tape Adhesive on the outside edge of the remaining short flap. Remove the protective backing and adhere the two pieces together.
Put Tear & Tape Adhesive along one of the long skinny flaps. Remove the protective backing and adhere two of the sides together. Repeat on the other long skinny flap and the other two sides.
Fill the box with treats. Fold in the smaller flaps and hook the two bigger flaps together to close the box. I added a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive behind the top hook to make sure my box stays closed.
Cut two 8" pieces of Cucumber Crush 5/8" Mini Striped Ribbon. Lay the ribbons on top of each other and fold them in half. Cut a 8" piece of Linen Thread. Tie it tightly around the looped bottoms of the striped ribbon. Tie a small bow and trim the ends.
Place a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the top of the hook on the top. Remove the protective backing. Adhere the ribbon to it. Trim the ends of the ribbons at angles.
Mount the Easter bunny image on Block B. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on the larger white rectangle.
Pick out the Easter bunny framelit from the Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped white card stock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the Easter bunny framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the carrot image on Block a. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on the smaller white rectangle.
Pick out the carrot framelit from the Basket Builder Framelits. Place the stamped white card stock on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the carrot framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Squeeze the lid of the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the nose and ear interiors on the bunny and the carrot. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the tip of the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. When you are done coloring with the Pumpkin Pie color, scribble the tip of the Blender Pen back and forth on scratch paper until no more color is coming off.
Repeat the step above using the Cucumber Crush Ink Pad. Color in the bow tie on the bunny and the leaves on the top of the carrot. Clean the Blender Pen.
Adhere the bunny to the top of the box at a slight angle on the left side.
Use Paper Snips to cut an edge from a sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere to the back of the carrot. Remove the protective backing and adhere at a slight angle to the bunny's right paw on the front of the box.
