S oft and sweet 3"x 3" note card made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Pink Pirouette Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square from Basic Black Cardstock
- 2-5/8" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- teapot image roughly cut from Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper
- scrap of Basic Black Cardstock at least 2" wide
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 2" wide
Place the roughly cut out teapot image from the Just Add Color Designer Paper on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Pink Pirouette Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub it onto the teapot image in circular motions. Get more ink on the dauber as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want. Leave some areas lighter than others.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Carefully cut out the teapot close to the printed lines using Paper Snips. To cut out the interior of the handle, place the teapot on the Stampin' Pierce Mat and poke a hole in the blank area with the Paper Snips then cut out from there.
Use SNAIL and Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the teapot cut out to the white square. Then, adhere the white square to the black square and then to the front of the Pink Pirouette 3" x 3" card.
Place the scrap of white cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image when you stamp.
Mount the "Come let us sit together and drink" sentiment from the Balloon Celebration Set on Block A. Carefully ink up only the words "Come let us sit together" by pressing the stamp to the edge of the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp in the center of the white scrap.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch. Center the sentiment in the punching area. Punch.
Unlock the 1-3/8" Circle Punch. Slide the black cardstock scrap into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the sentiment circle to the center of the black circle.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the matted sentiment circle to the lower right corner of the card.
Carefully peel up a medium pearl from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the loop at the top of the teapot.
Carefully peel three small pearls from a sheet of Pearl Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the sentiment circle just below the sentiment.
