Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Balmy Blue Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 5-1/8" of lightly mottled Balmy Blue design from Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper
- 3 strips each 1-1/2" wide from different designs of Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper
As you are ready to stamp using the Merry Christmas To All Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the larger, script word "Happy" from the Merry Christmas To All Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Soft Sea Foam Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the "Happy" stamp using the Balmy Blue Ink Pad. Stamp the word over the top of the previously stamped word on the white rectangle, but slightly offset to create a shadow effect.
Pick out the long, scalloped edge thinlit from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. Place the large piece of Balmy Blue Tranquil Textures Designer Paper on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped edge thinlit along the very bottom of the long edge of the designer paper. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the cut piece of designer paper to the top of the stamped white layer just above the top of the words. Trim off excess designer paper along the top if needed using Paper Snips.
Adhere the white/designer paper layer to the Soft Sea Foam rectangle and then to the front of the Balmy Blue card.
Mount the large, outline balloon image from the Balloon Celebration Set on Block B. VERY lightly press the stamp to the open Tranquil Tide Ink Pad to ink it up. Don't press too hard or you will get ink in the interior parts of the balloon image. Stamp the balloon image on one end of a long strip of designer paper so the bottom of the balloon is on the bottom. Re-ink the stamp very carefully two more times and stamp it on the bottom of the other two strips of designer paper so the bottom of the balloon is on the bottom.
Unlock the Balloon Bouquet Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide a stamped balloon into the punch and get it centered in the matching punching area. Punch. Repeat until you have punched out all three balloon images.
Cut three pieces of Linen Thread each about 3" long.
Adhere one piece of Linen Thread to the back of one of the balloon punch outs using a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive so the Linen Thread hangs down from the bottom of the balloon.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive and add SNAIL to the back of the balloon image. Adhere the balloon at a slight angle to the front of the card so the top of the balloon almost touches the top of the designer paper layer and is about 1-3/8" in from the left side.
Adhere one piece of Linen Thread to the back of another one of the balloon punch outs using a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive so the Linen Thread hangs down from the bottom of the balloon.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape Adhesive and add SNAIL to the back of the balloon image. Adhere the balloon at a slightly different angle to the front of the card so the top of the balloon is about 1/2" from the top of the designer paper layer and is about 1/8" in from the left side and overlaps the left side of the previous balloon just a bit.
Adhere the final piece of Linen Thread to the back of the final balloon punch out using a Stampin' Dimensional so the Linen Thread hangs down from the bottom of the balloon.
Add a couple more Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the balloon image. Remove the protective backings and adhere the balloon at a slight angle to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottoms of the previous balloons just a bit.
Trim off excess Linen Thread hanging from the balloons as needed.
Cut a 3" piece of Silver Mini Sequin Trim.
Fold the sequin trim in half. Adhere it to the front of the card over the bunched threads using a Mini Glue Dot. Trim the ends as needed. Save the trimmed bits for a later step.
Cut an 8" piece of the Mint Macaron twine from the Nature's Twine.
Tie a small bow in the center of the twine. Trim the ends.
Adhere the twine bow to the front of the card over the fold in the sequin trim using a Mini Glue Dot.
Carefully pull 5 tiny sequins from the trimmed bits of sequin trim.
Put a tiny dot of Fine-Tip Glue on the balloon on the left of the bouquet and adhere one of the tiny sequins to it.
Put a tiny dot of Fine-Tip Glue just above the "y" in the word "happy" and adhere one of the tiny sequins to it.
Put three tiny dots of Fine-Tip Glue in a rough triangle shape on the right side of the Balmy Blue designer paper layer and adhere the three remaining tiny sequins to them.
