T his is a simple bridge card fold. SIMPLE, but really packs a WOW punch, I think. You will likely see a lot of these bridge fold cards from me.
Project Recipe
Cut base (whisper white) 8" X 4 1/4"
Score - 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 1/2" and 6 3/4"
Cut bridge ( Whisper white) - 5 1/2" X 1 1/4"
Mat pieces (pool party) - 4" X 2 3/4", - cut one
- 4" X 1" - cut two
Stamp dog, girl, chef, and cake on separate WW card stock in black Memento ink. Usiing our watercolor pencils, color in the figures. Cut out with framelits from the bundle.
Mix embossing paste (about half a tablespoon) with Cherry Cobbler reinker. Using the palette knives and brick embossing mask, cover the bridging strip and just the right and left "wings" of card base with cherry cobbler paste. Set aside to dry.
Stamp Happy Birthday in Island Indigo ink in the top right corner of the 4" X 2 3/4" pool party mat.
Adhere chef and cake (you may need to trim some of the cake off on the left hand side) on same mat as the stamped "Happy Birthday" . I prefer Tombow liquid glue for 90% of my needs.
Adhere the pool party mat with Happy Birthday and the cake and chef, onto the center rectangle of the card base. Then adhere the one inch pool party strips to the right and left of these images (in between the score lines).
While folding the left wing of base inward (so the total measure across is now 5 1/2") adhere bridge piece (1 1/4" X 5 1/2") ONLY to the right and left wing of the card base. (This will mean brick on brick, liquid glue works!)
Adhere dog and girl on the front of card. Be sure NOT to have any adhesive above the bridging portion or it will glue your card permanently shut.
