Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Gray Granite Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Merry Merlot Cardstock
- 3-3/4" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Place the piece of Merry Merlot Cardstock inside the Cable Knit Dynamic Embossing Folder so the lines run horizontally across the cardstock. Place the folder with the card stock inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Carefully remove both magnets from the back of the Stamparatus. Be careful NOT to let them get too close to each other or they will snap together and may break.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side. Put the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus. Put a piece of Small Grid Paper on top of the foam mat on the Stamparatus.
Place the 3-3/4" square of Very Vanilla on the Stamparatus base so one side is running horizontally across the top and the left side is on the 5" line on the Small Grid Paper. Put one magnet across the top of the cardstock along the top of the Stamparatus base and the other is across the lower left corner of the cardstock square.
Pick out the solid teddy bear image (marked with a tiny 1 on the plastic sheet of images). Place it upside down in the center of the cardstock square. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the vanilla square and press down firmly. Open the plate. Clean the stamp off with the Simply Shammy.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have an Sahara Sand Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges of the Stamparatus and flip it over and reinsert it into the hinges.
Pick out the more filled in teddy bear detail image (marked with a tiny 2 on the plastic sheet of images). Place it upside down on the previously stamped image on the cardstock square. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.

Remove the plate from the hinges of the Stamparatus. Insert another plate into the hinges on the right side of the Stamparatus.

Pick out the stitched circle framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits that cuts out a circle that is 2-15/16" diameter. Place the stamped teddy bear image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched circle framelit on top so the teddy bear is slightly to the left of center. You will cut off some of the feet. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
As you are ready to stamp using the Baby Bear Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the skinny sentiment of choice from the Baby Bear Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Merry Merlot Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla strip.
Pick out the long, open banner framelit from the Petals & More Thinlits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is slightly to the left. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the bear circle to the dry embossed Merry Merlot rectangle so the right side of the circle hangs over the right side of the Merry Merlot rectangle a small amount and the bottom of the circle is about 1/2" from the bottom.
Adhere the sentiment banner to the dry embossed Merry Merlot rectangle so the right side of the banner hangs over the right side of the Merry Merlot rectangle a small amount and it covers the bottom of the bear circle.
Use Paper Snips to trim off excess cardstock on the right side of the Merry Merlot rectangle.
Adhere the dry embossed Merry Merlot rectangle with the bear circle and sentiment banner attached to the front of the Gray Granite card.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere a Galvanized Button to the card front so it covers the angle between the bear circle and the sentiment banner on the left side.
Cut a 9" piece of Linen Thread. Fold the thread into thirds. Tie a half knot in the center of the folded thread. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot (squish it smaller with your fingers) to adhere the linen thread knot to the top of the button.
