Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cajun Craze Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-1/2" x 5-1/4" of islands across shoreline image design from Splendid Autumn 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the scene is vertical on the vertical rectangle and an island is centered in the strip near the top
- 2" x 5-1/4" of brushstoke blue design from Splendid Autumn 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 2-1/4" from Wild Wheat Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Wild Wheat Cardstock
Place the scrap paper on the bottom of the vertical blue brushstroke Splendid Autumn Designer Paper so it covers the bottom 1-1/4" inch.
Mount the wheat grass image from the Autumn Expressions Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Wild Wheat Ink Pad. Stamp it 3 times on the left side of the vertical blue brushstroke Splendid Autumn Designer Paper strip so the images overlap a bit and the stems go over the top of the scrap paper mask. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave the stamp on the block.
Adhere the landscape strip of Splendid Autumn Designer Paper over the left side of the stamped blue brushstroke designer paper so when the two pieces are side by side, they are 4" wide.
Cut a 6" piece of the Wild Wheat 3/8" Rustic Striped Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the layered and stamped designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the two pieces of paper. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the designer paper rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Cajun Craze card.
Re-ink the wheat grass image on Block C with the Wild Wheat Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" Wild Wheat rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open wheat grass die from the Autumn Expressions Dies. Put it on top of the stamped wheat image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the wheat cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the ribbon as shown and the bottom is in line with the bottom of the stamped wheat images.
As you are ready to stamp using the Wonderful Thoughts Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "thinking of you" sentiment from the Wonderful Thoughts Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining Wild Wheat rectangle.
Pick out the matching "thinking of you" word die from the Wonderful Thoughts Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the ribbon and the bottoms of the stems of the wheat grass images.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Wild Wheat 3/8" Rustic Striped Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon already on the card front just below the left side of the sentiment cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Wild Wheat dots from a sheet of Faux Glass Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front around the wheat grass images as shown.
