ive cards with envelopes all done with an oceanic theme, plus a bonus little bag! I have used sentiments from Itty Bitty Greetings, Peaceful Moments, Butterfly Gala & Posted For You.
If the card is not white card stock, then I have included a white card insert and extra punched pieces or patterned paper so that you can decorate the inside of the card or your envelopes.
Also included are the strips of foam tape for the shaker card, rhinestones & sequins.
Please read through ALL the instructions for each card or you may end up in strife!
NB: some of the patterned paper pieces or individual turtle cut outs may be different from the samples shown
Project Recipe
Glue the Pacific Point card mat layer onto the Whisper White card base and then add the Balmy Blue texture embossed layer. Glue the strip of turtle patterned paper onto the strip of Pacific Point card and add it onto the card front. Stamp the sentiment, hand cut the individual turtle and glue it to the top corner of the sentiment piece. Turn the piece over and add some foam strips to the back before adding to the front of the card. Add the 5 rhinestones for extra sparkle.
Hand cut the three turtles and add some foam tape to the back of them. Stamp the sentiment onto the white strip and snip the ends to "fish tail" them. Glue the white card mat onto the card base, layer over the patterned paper and then glue on the dark blue hexagon patterned paper piece. Glue on sentiment, turtles and add a few sequins for extra sparkle.
Stick the patterned paper to each square of coloured card stock and layer onto the card base. Add the extra white whale tail pieces to your large punched out whale to ensure his tail stays flat on the card front and doesn't bend, stick it onto the card front. Stamp a sentiment and add to the card front, glue on the small whale and add the 3 rhinestones for bling!
Assemble the two whales. Stick the acetate to the back of the "splash" balmy blue glimmer paper and add a surround of foam tape to the back of it, making sure there are no gaps. Stick the Pretty Peacock mat card onto the base card stock, then the Whisper White textured card layer on top of that. Place the sequins into a little pile in the middle of where you will add the "splash" rectangle, remove the protective layer from the foam adhesive and stick on the rectangle (the sequins should shake around freely inside the rectangle. Stick on the glitter letters and two whales to the card front.
T make the clown fish punch art, add the orange, black and white circles together leaving a small overlap showing. Add the orange fin to the top of the black one and add that to the circle body. Glue on the eyes (I added a pupil highlight with a white chalk pen). Glue black pieces over the tips of the orange pectoral fins, turn them to the back and snip off the excess before gluing them to the body. I added a mouth to the fish with a black Stampin' Write marker pen. Stamp the sentiment and "fish tail" flag the ends before layering onto the Pretty Peacock strip. Glue the orange card stock onto the card base, add the patterned paper and Pretty Peacock spring punch outs. Add the clown fish and sentiment to the card front with foam strips.
Fold and burnish along all the scored lines, glue and join the long side together to form a tube. fold the small flaps in and glue the bottom together. Assemble the whale and add him & the glimmer water splash to the white tag piece after you have stamped a sentiment. Optional - I added hand stitching around the tag piece with a Stampin' Write marker pen. Add the tag to the bag with the clip.
