P retty card to let someone know they are amazing using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and foil pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Whisper White Thick Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Tranquil Tide Cardstock
- 2" x 2-5/8" of white scallop flowers on Tranquil Tide background design from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack
- 2" x 2-5/8" of white lattice with small flowers on Tranquil Tide background design from the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack
- 2 pieces each 2" x 2-1/2" of Copper Foil Sheets
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Tranquil Tide Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Copper Foil Sheets
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Place the two smaller rectangles (2" x 2-1/2") of Copper Foil Sheets inside the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the foil rectangles inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Adhere the two dry embossed Copper Foil Sheets in the upper left and lower right corners of the large Tranquil Tide rectangle so just a bit of the Tranquil Tide shows on the edges.
Tip: You might want to use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the foil sheets as the SNAIL doesn't always want to stick to the slick backing.
Adhere the two rectangles of Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper in the upper right and lower left corners of the Tranquil Tide layer. Make sure a little bit of Tranquil Tide shows on the edges. Let the designer papers overlap the foil sheets a bit.
Cut a 6" piece of 1/4" Copper Trim.
Lay the ribbon piece horizontally across the designer paper/foil sheets/cardstock layer so it covers the seam between the foil sheets and designer papers. Flip the layer over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the layer. Adhere the layer to the front of the Whisper White Thick card.
Pick out the scalloped oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 2-1/4" wide. Place the remaining Tranquil Tide rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the smooth oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-3/4" wide. Place the remaining Copper Foil Sheet rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Rub the Embossing Buddy across the white rectangle.
Mount the "you are amazing" sentiment from the All Things Thanks Set on Block C. Ink it up with the VersaMark Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Sprinkle on some Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder. Tap off excess. Return the excess powder to the jar so you can use it again later.
Use the highest setting on the Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder. It will be smooth and shiny when completely melted.
TIP: Use a clothespin to hold one corner of the cardstock while you are using the Heat Tool so that you don't burn your fingers.
Pick out the smooth oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-1/2" wide. Place the heat embossed sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the smooth oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment oval to the center of the Copper Foil oval. Then, adhere it to the center of the Tranquil Tide scalloped oval.
Tip: You might want to use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere things to the foil oval. Sometimes SNAIL Adhesive doesn't want to adhere to the slick surfaces of the foil.
Uses Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the ovals to the center of the card front.
Remove one of the smooth edged flowers from the Touches of Nature Elements. Press one side of the flower into the VersaMark Pad. Sprinkle Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder onto the inky side of the flower. Tap off excess powder and return it to the jar so you can use it again later.
Place the flower with the embossing powder on it face up on a heat proof surface. Use the Paper-Piercing Tool to hold the flower in place by sticking the tip of the tool into the hole in the center of the flower. Use the highest setting on the Heat Tool to melt the embossing powder. It will be smooth and shiny when completely melted.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the embossed flower to the sentiment oval over the "n" in the word "amazing."
Choose one of the whiter, small Glitter Enamel Dots. Adhere it to the center of the embossed flower.
Cut a 16" piece of 1/4" Copper Trim. Fold it in half. Tie a small double bow. Trim the ends. Adhere the bow to the center of the right side of the Tranquil Tide scalloped oval using a Mini Glue Dot.
