P astel card perfect for a birthday or other celebration using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 2-1/4" square from Soft Succulent Cardstock
- 2-1/8" square from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" square from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1" square from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3-1/2" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
Place the Stitched Greenery Die cutting side up on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Place the Soft Succulent rectangle on top of the die. Run through the machine.
Note: This die doesn't cut anything out. Instead it creates a dotted design of leaves on your cardstock.
Tip: Because the die is so big, I found it easier to put the die on the platform face up and then put the cardstock on top of it so I could make sure the cardstock was straight and properly positioned.
Adhere the patterned Soft Succulent rectangle to the front of the Fresh Freesia card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the thin Fresh Freesia strip into the left side of the punch (the side of the punch with the outward notched top) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end.
Mount the "You are SO worth celebrating!" sentiment from the All Squared Away Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Soft Succulent Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Fresh Freesia strip.
Adhere the sentiment punch strip to the front of the card in the center.
Mount the squiggly lines on solid background image from the All Squared Away Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-1/4" Fresh Freesia square. Don't worry if it isn't perfectly straight or exactly in the center.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets square. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets square to one side of the Soft Succulent square. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the square with leaves and a single, rounded flower die from the Floral Squares Dies. Put it on top of the Soft Succulent square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Soft Succulent (green) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the flower and leaves square cut out. Adhere it to the stamped Fresh Freesia square so it is centered over the stamped image. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess Fresh Freesia cardstock on all edges.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the layered square to the front of the card so it is centered over the sentiment punch out and slightly overlaps the top of the sentiment punch out a tiny bit.
Pick out the single, large, rounded flower die from the Floral Squares Dies. Put it on top of the 1" Highland Heather square on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Put the die on top of the 1" Fresh Freesia square on the machine and run it through. Remove the pieces with the paper-piercing tool.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the Fresh Freesia flower on top of the Highland Heather flower slightly offset to make a fuller flower.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the layered flower over the top of the green flower on the die cut on the card front.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Gorgeous Grape pearl from a sheet of Pastel Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower on the card front.
