Project Recipe
2 - 3 1/4" x 4" pieces of card stock for sides
1 - piece of designer paper (DSP) 3 1/2" x 10"
1 - piece of card stock for greeting 3/4" x 3 1/4"
1 - piece of card stock same color as sides 1" x 4"
1 - scrap piece of card stock again same color as the sides for the 3 small flowers from any small punch.
On the 4" side of the card stock score at every 1/2", then fold hill-valley or accordion fold. Use strong double sided tape on the bottom and top of the , both pieces and set aside for pouch assembly.
With the DSP on the 10" side score at: 3 1/2", 5",
8 1/2" and 9 1/4". The 3 1/2" section will be the front of the pouch, the next section will be the bottom, then up the back and the last two scored sections will be the top and the front flap.
You can use magnets or Velcro dots to close the flap to the front, but if you are using Neodymium rare earth magnets (strong) you will need to cover each side of the magnet with a card stock dot or they will not come apart.
The photo doesn't have the black layer behind the greeting, but it will stand out more if you back it with the dark card stock. Fishtail/pennant the right side of both layers and stamp your greeting to the right, add the flowers to the left, then attach at an angle to the front flap.
Time to add the sides to make the pouch. You want the open end of the folds to go to the inside and do one side the bottom layer and the top layer then move to the 2nd side. Place the bottom of the side you are working on edge of what will be the back and to the bottom, then remove the backing from the tape on the top of the side section and bring the front of the pouch up and over and place the top edge of the side as close to the edge as you can.
