P retty thank you card perfect for the holiday season using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Mossy Meadow Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5-1/4" of green vines with red berries swirled on white background design from Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2 x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 1-1/4" from Real Red Cardstock
Mount the "thank you" sentiment image from the Accented Blooms Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the 2" x 3-1/4" strip of white cardstock leaving room to punch it out.
Unlock the Tailored Tag Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the designer paper strip on the left edge of the large white rectangle and the sentiment punch out on the large white rectangle so it overlaps the right edge of the designer paper by about 3/4" of an inch and is about 1" from the top. This is to give you an idea of where to stamp the vine images in the next step. Slightly lift the lower right side of the sentiment punch out and make a small mark with the pencil.
Remove the designer paper and sentiment punch out from the large white rectangle.
Mount the small vine image from the Accented Blooms Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it twice so it hangs down towards the lower right corner of the large white rectangle and starts near the pencil mark you made in the previous step. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the small vine image with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad and stamp it three times so it goes up from the lower right corner of the large white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Insert the stamped Whisper White rectangle into the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder. Use the line drawn on the front of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Adhere the strip of designer paper to the left side of the stamped and dry embossed white rectangle.
Cut an 6" piece of Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the white/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the two pieces. Secure in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the white rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Mossy Meadow card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment punch out to the card front so it is in the same position as before and covers the ends of the stamped vines starting at the pencil mark.
Pick out the bird die from the Well Written Dies. Put it on top of the Real Red rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces if needed.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the bird cut out to the front of the card so the bird appears to be sitting on the upper right side of the sentiment punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels from the sheet being sure to get the adhesives as well. Adhere them to the card front at the ends of the stamped vines and over the eye of the bird cut out.
