P retty, fall thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Mint Macaron Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 5-1/8" of brown and white cotton stems on Mint Macaron background design from Country Lane Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 1" x 5-1/4" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 7/8" x 5-1/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- 1-3/4" x 2-1/2" from Early Espresso Cardstock
- 1-5/8" x 2-3/8" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
Adhere the strip of Country Lane Designer Series Paper to the left edge of the large Mint Macaron rectangle.
Adhere the Mint Macaron/designer paper rectangle to the large Early Espresso rectangle and then to the front of the Mint Macaron card.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the long, skinny Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the long, skinny Early Espresso rectangle. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the strip of Early Espresso on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Early Espresso facing up).
Pick out the long, skinny, lattice work thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits. Place it on top of the Early Espresso strip on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the long, skinny, lattice work cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it is centered across the seam between the designer paper and Mint Macaron cardstock.
Note: The lattice work cut out is NOT long enough to cover the entire seam between the designer paper and cardstock so be sure to center it top to bottom.
Mount the "hello" or "thank you" sentiment images from the Accented Blooms Set on Block D.
Roll a Sponge Brayer across the open Early Espresso Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll the inky brayer onto the rubber side of the Accented Blooms stamp until it is completely covered in ink. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it on the small Mint Macaron rectangle on one side.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Unlock the Tailored Tag Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment image into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Put some Stampin' Dimensionals in the center of the back of the sentiment punch out. Remove the protective backings and adhere the sentiment punch out to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the bottom and the top point is in line with the right edge of the lattice work cut out.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the small rectangle of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the remaining, small Early Espresso rectangle. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Early Espresso on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Early Espresso facing up).
Pick out the single flower on a stem with berries thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits. Place it on top of the Early Espresso piece on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the single flower on stem cut out and adhere it to the front of the card so it pokes out from the upper right side of the sentiment punch out.
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut the cotton off the tips of a Q-tip. Cut the cotton from one tip in half. Tease the cotton pieces a bit to make them nice and fluffy.
Put Mini Glue Dots on top of the berries on the stem on the card front. Adhere the two smaller pieces of cotton to the Glue Dots.
Put Mini Glue Dots on top of the flower on the stem on the card front. Adhere the larger piece of cotton to the Glue Dots.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to put three small dots of glue on the card front in a small triangle in the upper right corner of the card front.
Use the sticky putty end of the Take Your Pick tool to pick up three different sized copper or gold sequins from the Metallics Sequin Assortment and adhere them to the dots of glue.
Tip: Pull straight up to remove the cap on the end of the Take Your Pick tool putty end. If the putty is no longer tacky, snip it off the end of the tool and give the base of the putty dispenser a twist to dispense more putty.
