Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Seaside Spray Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Seaside Spray Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 3-7/8" from Seaside Spray Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock at least 1-1/2" long
As you are ready to stamp using the Above The Clouds Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put some paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
If you haven't already done so, squeeze some Whisper White Craft Ink Refill onto the Uninked Craft Stampin' Pad.
Mount the set of 3 clouds image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block H. Ink it up using the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp all over the small strip of Seaside Spray Cardstock. Re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges and let some overlap. Set the stamped strip aside to dry, the clouds will get more opaque as they dry. Leave the stamp on the block.
Tip: Be careful not to get craft ink on your clothes, it is permanent!
Mount the set of 3 small hot air balloon outlines image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp on the large Seaside Spray rectangle about 3/8” from the top and 1/4” from the right edge. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub. Leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up only the top two right most hot air balloon outlines by pressing the stamp carefully to the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp below the previously stamped balloon outlines. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Mount the set of 3 small hot air balloon solids image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp over the top of the previously stamped set of 3 balloons outlines image. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub. Leave the stamp on the block.
Carefully ink up only the top two right most hot air balloon solids by pressing the stamp carefully to the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp over the top of the previously stamped set of 2 balloons outlines image. Clean the stamp with the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Re-ink the clouds image with the Whisper White Craft Ink Pad. Stamp around on the top 2/3 of the large Seaside Spray rectangle so the clouds do NOT overlap the small hot air balloons. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and not to get it on your clothes. Let some clouds go off the edges of the cardstock. Clean the stamp with the Stampin’ Scrub and Stampin’ Mist and then the Simply Shammy and put it away. Set the cardstock aside to let it dry, the clouds will get more opaque as they dry.
Mount the single, large, solid balloon image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small, vertical strip of white cardstock near the bottom with the bottom of the balloon pointing down.
Mount the more open, large, outline balloon image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped large, solid balloon image.
Unlock the Hot Air Balloon Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the balloon image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked
Mount the solid grouping of triangular pennants on a banner image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Seaside Spray Ink Pad. Stamp it over the center of the balloon punch out at an angle.
Mount the outline grouping of triangular pennants on a banner image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it over the previously stamped banner image on the balloon punch out.
Mount the sentiment of choice on an appropriate sized block. Ink it up with the Pacific Point Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the small strip of stamped clouds.
Cut a 4-1/2” piece of the Seaside Spray 1/2" Scalloped Linen Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the large piece of stamped Seaside Spray Cardstock about 1-1/4” up from the bottom edge. Flip the cardstock over and adhere the ends of the ribbon in place with small pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the adhesive and add SNAIL to the back of the Seaside Spray rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the large Whisper White rectangle and then to the front of the Seaside Spray card.
Adhere the stamped strip of Seaside Spray Cardstock to the bottom of the card front so it covers the bottom edge of the ribbon and leaves a bit of linen and the upper scallops showing.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the balloon punch out to the front of the card at a slight angle. Leave room for the basket underneath.
Mount the tiny, outline basket image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the strip of Crumb Cake Cardstock.
Slide the stamped basket image into the unlocked Hot Air Balloon Punch and get the basket image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional to adhere the basket punch out in place below the hot air balloon punch out.
