Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pineapple Punch Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 4-1/4" of thin white lines on watercolored blue background design from Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the vertical strip
- 3" x 3-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3" of lines of small, multicolored half circles on blue background design from Dinoroar Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the horizontal strip
- thin strip of scrap Whisper White Cardstock
Lay the 3" x 3-1/8" white rectangle on some Grid Paper on your work surface so the 3" edges are at the top and bottom.
Press Block D directly onto the open Pineapple Punch Ink Pad to get it really inky. Lightly spritz the inky side of the block with water to help make the ink run. Hold the inky block so the sides engraved with the Stampin' Up! copyright and the size of the block (D in a circle) are on the left and right edges. Press the inky side of the block to the center of the white rectangle and press down firmly. Hold for a few seconds before removing the block. Set the card stock aside to allow it to dry.
Adhere the piece of Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper to the large white rectangle so it is centered.
Adhere the white rectangle with designer paper attached to the front of the Pineapple Punch card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Above The Clouds Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, outline balloon with stripes down the balloon image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal strip of Dinoroar Designer Paper near one end with the bottom of the balloon pointing down.
Unlock the Hot Air Balloon Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Get the balloon image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Mount the tiny, solid basket image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it on the thin strip scrap of white cardstock on the left end so the basket is right side up.
Mount the tiny, outline basket image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Mango Melody Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped solid basket image.
Slide the stamped basket image into the unlocked Hot Air Balloon Punch and get the basket image centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
If the yellow stamped block image is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Mount the "We rise by lifting others.,"Let your dreams soar.," or "Life is a beautiful ride." sentiment from the Above The Clouds Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the yellow block image on the white rectangle.
Mount the set of 3 clouds image from the Above The Clouds Set on Block H. Ink up only the two right balloons by carefully pressing the stamp to the open Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp once on Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the two balloons in the upper right corner of the yellow block image on the white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped yellow block image rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side over the Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper strip and about 3/8" of the designer paper shows across the top edge.
Place the punched out hot air balloon image on your work surface upside down. Put some lines of SNAIL Adhesive across the upside down balloon punch out.
Wrap one end of the Silver Metallic Thread around a couple of your fingers a few times. Cut the thread loose from the spool. Press the loops of thread to the back of the balloon punch out so they stick out to the upper right side (this will be the upper left side when the balloon punch out is face up).
Adhere the balloon punch out with thread attached to the front of the card so it overlaps the left side of the yellow block image on the white rectangle a little bit and is near the top edge.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the basket punch out in place below the hot air balloon punch out. It should overlap the bottom edge of the yellow block image a tiny bit in the lower left corner.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Daffodil Delight 1/4" Ruched Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the card front at an angle on the bottom left side of the yellow block image on the white rectangle in the angle where it meets the Peaceful Poppies Designer Paper.
