Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Sahara Sand at 6-1/4" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 6" of Night of Navy Cardstock
- scrap of Sahara Sand Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
- scrap of Balmy Blue Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
Note: This card is bigger than the usual card to accommodate the Memories & More card. You will need to use a larger envelope to mail it.
Insert the Night of Navy rectangle into the Seaside Embossing Folder so the lines are horizontal when the cardstock is vertical. Place the folder with the card stock inside on a Cutting Pad on the Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the large laser cut lighthouse card from the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack. Put SNAIL on the larger areas on the back of the laser cut card and use either Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue on the finer areas on the back of the laser cut card. Adhere the laser cut card to the top of the dry embossed Night of Navy rectangle. Use Paper Snips to trim off any excess Night of Navy showing around the edges as needed.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Slide the scrap of Sahara Sand Cardstock into the punch. Punch.
Adhere the Sahara Sand circle punch out to the bottom left side of the card between the edge of the laser cut card and the bottom left side of the lighthouse.
Cut three pieces of Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine each 4-1/2" long.
Lay the twine pieces across the matted laser cut card so the are in the center of the Sahara Sand circle and cross over each other a bit. Flip the cardstock over and fold the ends of the twine over. Adhere the ends of the twine in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the Night of Navy cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the Sahara Sand card.
Mount the "It's Your Day" sentiment from the A Good Man Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the scrap of Balmy Blue Cardstock.
Unlock the 1-1/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle punch out over the twine so it is centered over the top of the Sahara Sand circle.
Cut a 10" piece of Night of Navy/Sahara Sand Baker's Twine.
Slide one end of the twine under the twine on the card front just to the right of the matted sentiment circle. Tie in place using a small bow. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from a sheet of Clear Faceted Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the top of the lighthouse.
