P retty Easter treat holders using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets, and glimmer paper pieces and a Silver Mini Gable Box to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2" x 3" piece of white colored wood design from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
- 2" x 3" piece of medium colored wood design from Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack
- 2" x 3" piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 1-3/4" from Gold Glimmer Paper
- 1" x 3" of cardstock to coordinate with plastic Easter egg (I used Melon Mambo, Old Olive, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, and Rich Razzleberry)
- Silver Mini Gable Box with top flaps cut off
Use the Heat Tool to soften the glue holding the Silver Mini Gable Box together on one side. Carefully peel the seam apart so that the box is just one long piece of cardboard.
Place the long piece of box on the Stampin' Trimmer so you can cut off the top flaps just below the score lines.
Ink up a Sponge Brayer by rolling it across the open Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Open the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder in front of you. Lightly roll the inked up brayer over the inside of the front flap (the one that has the "Sizzix" and "Stampin' Up!" logos on it). You are just trying to get a little ink on the raised areas.
Place the one half of the box piece inside the inked up Basket Weave Embossing Folder with the white side facing the inky side of the folder. Place the folder with the box piece inside directly on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place a Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
VERY IMPORTANT: You are using only ONE Cutting Pad. If you try to use two, the sandwich will be too thick and you could damage the Big Shot.
Tip: If this is the half of the box with the tab for adhering the box sides together, fold the tab back onto the silver side of the box before closing the embossing folder.
Repeat the above steps of inking up the inside flap of the embossing folder with the inky brayer and putting the other half of the box inside the folder white side down and running it through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sides of the box together using Tear & Tape Adhesive on the little flap so the dry embossed, inked white sides are facing out.
Fold the bottom flaps of the box into place and interlock them.
Mount the "Happy Easter" sentiment from the You're Inspiring Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the colored cardstock strip.
Pick out the long, single, open banner framelit from the Bunch of Banners Framelits. Place the stamped sentiment on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on your Big Shot. Place the banner framelit on top so the sentiment is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Poke out the banner with the sentiment and keep it. Also use the Paper-Piercing Tool to poke out the outline banner that is probably stuck inside the framelit, remove it, and throw it away. If you don't remove it, then you will have trouble cutting with this framelit the next time you use it.
Cut the left edge of the sentiment banner off using Paper Snips.
Pick out the large, open, fat cross framelit from the Cross of Hope Framelits. Place the rectangle of white colored wood design from the Wood Textures Designer Paper on a Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the cross framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the rectangle of medium brown wood design from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the piece of Wood Textures Designer Paper on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (wood grain facing up).
Pick out the large, detailed cross framelit from the Cross of Hope Framelits. Place it on top of the Wood Textures Designer Paper piece on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the detailed cross cut out. Adhere it to the white Wood Textures Designer Paper cross cut out.
Use a Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the left side of the sentiment banner to the back of the bottom of the wood cross so the banner is about 1/4" up from the bottom of the cross and sticks out to the right side.
Put Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the sentiment banner. Put another Stampin' Dimensional just below the cross bar on the back of the cross.
Remove the protective backings from the Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals. Adhere the cross and sentiment banner to the left side of the crate so the bottom of the cross is even with the bottom of the crate.
Pick out the scalloped circle framelit from the Layering Circles Framelits that cuts out a 1-1/2" scalloped circle. Place the Gold Glimmer Paper square glitter side down on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped circle framelit on top so you will cut out a half scalloped circle. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: Putting Glimmer Paper upside down on the Big Shot will help keep the glitter from dulling the cutting surfaces of your Framelits or Thinlits. Just be careful NOT to put a piece upside down if you will get a mirror image that will be wrong (like a word).
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the half scalloped circle to the front of the crate so it is peeking out from behind the cross and sentiment banner.
Carefully peel up a large gold circle from a sheet of Metallic Enamel Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the scroll design in the center of the cross.
Fill the crate with white Sweet Soiree Ready Shreddie and treats.
