S imple, pretty thank you card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Wild Wasabi Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" square from Wild Wasabi Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4" from Pink Pirouette Cardstock
- 1" x 4" from Wild Wasabi Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the You Move Me Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink as you stamp off the edges of cardstock.
Place the white rectangle on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Mount the solid hummingbird image from the You Move Me Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Perfect Plum Ink Pad. Stamp the hummingbird on the left side of the white rectangle about 1-3/4" from the top. Leave the stamp on the block.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped white rectangle into the punch until you can just see the tip of the bird's bill and about 1/4" of cardstock is showing along the right side of the punch. Punch. Keep both pieces!
Place the punched out circle upside down on the Grid Paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Re-ink the bill of the hummingbird image with the Perfect Plum Ink Pad. Stamp the bill only onto the circle on the lower left side.
Mount the large, solid trumpet flower image on Block C. Ink it up with the Pink Pirouette Ink Pad. Stamp it on the lower right side of the circle so it almost touches the bill.
Mount the small, solid trumpet flower image on Block B. Ink it up with the Pink Pirouette Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right side of the circle so the top of the flower is hanging into the circle. Re-ink the stamp with the Pink Pirouette Ink Pad and stamp it again in the upper left side of the circle so the top of the flower is hanging into the circle.
Mount the large, prickly flower center image on Block A. Ink it up with the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the large flower so the stamens are pointing towards the top edge of the flower.
Mount the small, prickly flower center image on Block A. Ink it up with the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the small flowers so the stamens are hanging down towards the edge of the flower. Re-ink the stamp with Wild Wasabi Ink and stamp in the center of the other small flower.
Mount the set of two leaves image on Block C. Ink it up with the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad and stamp it at the bottom of the large flower image so some of the leaves are in the circle. Re-ink the stamp with the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad and stamp it between the two smaller flowers so some of the leaves are in the circle.
Use the Wild Wasabi Marker to color in the neck of the hummingbird image stamped on the large white rectangle.
Mount the "Thanks!" sentiment on Block G. Ink it up with the Perfect Plum Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the strip of Pink Pirouette Cardstock.
Adhere the strip of Wild Wasabi Cardstock to the back of the stamped pink strip so that only about 1/8" of Wild Wasabi shows along the top edge of the pink strip.
Adhere the matted, stamped pink strip to the bottom of the stamped and punched white rectangle.
Adhere the stamped and punched white rectangle with the matted pink strip adhered to the bottom to the front of the Wild Wasabi card.
Adhere the stamped circle to the front of the card so it is inside the punched out circle in the white layer and the bird bills line up.
Slide the Wild Wasabi square into the open 2" Circle Punch. Get the cardstock centered in the punch and punch. Throw away the punched out circle.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the punched square of Wild Wasabi into the punch. Get the punched out circle centered in the punching area so there is an even rim of Wild Wasabi showing around the circle. Punch. Keep the outline circle of Wild Wasabi.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to glue the outline circle of Wild Wasabi over the seam between the white rectangle and the stamped white circle on the card front.
Pick out a large Metal Rimmed Pearl. Peel off the protective backing and adhere it to the Wild Wasabi outline circle near the base of the large stamped flower.
