Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Rococo Rose Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Rococo Rose Cardstock
- 4" x 5" from Merry Merlot Cardstock
- 3" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock at least 1-3/4" wide
Insert the Rococo Rose rectangle into the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder so the lines will be vertical when the cardstock is vertical. Use the line drawn on the front flap of the folder to help you line the cardstock up straight. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed rectangle to the front of the Rococo Rose card.
Pick out the oval die from the Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders. Put it on top of the Merry Merlot rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Lightly spritz the Merry Merlot oval frame with water and insert into the oval Heirloom Frames 3D Embossing Folder. Line it up on the embossing portion of the folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Tip: I used a couple of Mini Glue Dots and adhered the center, solid oval cut out when using the oval die to the center of the smooth oval in the center of the embossing folder. This makes it easier for me to line up the oval frame inside the embossing folder.
Tip: You may need to use cardboard shims with the embossing folder.
Mount the long, textile image from the Woven Heirlooms Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Rococo Rose Ink Pad. STAMP OFF on Grid Paper, then stamp across the top of the vanilla rectangle. Repeat, remembering to STAMP OFF each time, until you’ve stamped across the entire vanilla rectangle.
Mount the large sentiment of choice from the Woven Heirlooms Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Merry Merlot Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped vanilla rectangle.
If the oval frame is dry, proceed with the next step. Speed up drying if needed with the Heat Tool.
Adhere the oval frame over the stamped sentiment rectangle so the sentiment is near the top of the oval cut out in the center of the frame. Trim off excess vanilla cardstock using Paper Snips.
Adhere the oval frame to the front of the card.
Unlock the 1-1/2” Circle Punch. Slide the vanilla scrap into the punch and punch.
One at a time, peel up a petal from the Pressed Petals Specialty Washi Tape. Use the paper-piercing tip on the Take Your Pick if that helps. Adhere 6 petals to the circle punch out so the ends of the petals hang over the edge of the circle a bit and the petals overlap each other.
Cut a 4-1/2” piece of Rococo Rose 1/2" Gathered Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Adhere the folded end of the ribbon to the back of the flower circle using a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive so the loose ends stick out. Trim the ends at angles.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape and add SNAIL to the back of the flower circle.
Adhere the flower circle to the card front so it is centered over the lower right side of the oval frame and the ribbon ends stick off to the lower left side.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a copper Designer Elements being sure to get adhesive as well. Adhere to the flower center.
