I always have a lot of scraps left over after projects, so I decided to use some to make this card.
Project Recipe
Measurements:
Cardbase -
8 1/2" x 5 1/2" - score at 4 1/4"
Basic White Card front layer -
5 1/4" x 4"
scrap for banner die cut
Garden Green -
2 1/4" x 2 1/4" - 2" circle punch
Scraps for die cut and Bough punch
Gold CS -
scrap for bough punch
DSP -
2" x 2" - 1 3/4" circle punch
Ribbon:
4 3/4"
Instructions:
Score the card base and burnish
Take the Basic White layer and emboss it with the Forever Plaid embossing folder.
Wrap the ribbon around the embossed layer about 2" from the top. Using double-sided adhesive, adhere the ends to the back. Then, adhere this layer to the card front.
Punch a 2" circle from the Garden Green card stock.
Punch one large bough from a scrap of Garden Green, using the Bough Punch.
Punch a small bough from a scrap of Gold cardstock, using the Bough punch.
Punch a circle from the DSP using the 1 3/4" punch. Center the punch so that you have a bird image in the center.
Adhere the DSP circle to the Garden Green circle. Apply double-sided adhesive to the back of the circle and attach both boughs (the gold one first and then the Garden Green one).
Attach the circle to the card front using dimensions. Layer it so that it's centered over the ribbon.
Stamp the LOVE sentiment on a scrap of Basic White cardstock. Then die-cut it with the smallest tag die from the Nested Dies set.
Die-cut the next larger-sized tag from a scrap of Garden Green cardstock.
Layer the white tag to the center-right-hand side of the Garden Green tag. Trim off the top and bottom of the green tag so that there's a slim margin of green showing on the top and bottom. Mount this to the card front using dimensionals.
Color 3 rhinestones using Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends. Attach the rhinestones to the card front.
Finish off the inside with a sentiment of your choice.
You are done!
