P retty holiday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pebbled Path Cardstock 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4-1/4" x 5-1/4" from Boho Blue Cardstock
- 3" x 4-3/4" from Pebbled Path Cardstock
- 1" x 5-3/4" from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 6" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Mount the "warm wishes" sentiment from the Winter Owls Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pebbled Path Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the horizontal Boho Blue rectangle.
Mount the bare tree image from the Winter Owls Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pebbled Path Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the horizontal Boho Blue rectangle so the top of the tree is about 1/2" below the sentiment and the right edge is about 3/8" from the right edge of the cardstock.
As you are ready to stamp using the Rustic Crate Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the crate image from the Rustic Crate Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pebbled Path Ink Pad. Stamp it vertically 4 times on the horizontal Pebbled Path rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Leave a little space between each image so you can cut them out.
Pick out the matching crate front die from the Rustic Crate Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped crate images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine. Repeat with the remaining crate images until you have cut out all four.
One at a time, adhere the crate cut outs to the bottom of the stamped Boho Blue rectangle so the pieces are vertical and form a "fence." The tops of the pieces should be about 2-1/8" from the bottom. The left edge of the first piece should be right up against the left edge of the Boho Blue rectangle. Each of the next pieces should touch the right edge of the previous piece. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess cardstock along the bottom edge.
Pick out the long, solid die with lines across it from the Beautiful Balloons Dies. Put it on top of the Mossy Meadow strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is close to one long edge. Run through the machine.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut one long edge of the die cut Mossy Meadow strip with some slight curves to make it fringe and look like grass.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the uncut edge to the bottom of the stamped Boho Blue layer with "fence" attached so it covers the bottom of the fence. Use Paper Snips Scissors to trim off any excess Mossy Meadow cardstock as needed.
Adhere the stamped Boho Blue rectangle with fence and grass attached to the front of the Pebbled Path card.
Mount the moon image from the Winter Owls Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pebbled Path Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal Very Vanilla rectangle leaving room to stamp the owl and poinsettias and to cut the pieces out with dies.
Mount the sitting owl with feet and his head on the right side image from the Winter Owls Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Pebbled Path Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal Very Vanilla rectangle near the moon, but leaving room to cut the pieces out and to stamp the poinsettias.
Mount the group of poinsettias and leaves image from the Rustic Crate Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad. Stamp it on the remaining end of the horizontal Very Vanilla rectangle leaving room to cut the pieces out.
Pick out the matching owl die and the matching moon circle die from the Winter Owls Dies and the matching poinsettias die from the Rustic Crate Dies. Put them on top of the stamped images on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the stamped images. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Note: If you don't want a rim of vanilla around the edges of the poinsettias and leaves, you might want to cut out the image by hand using Paper Snips Scissors instead of the die.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out moon and owl images to the card front as shown.
Squeeze the lid of the Moody Mauve Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the poinsettia flowers on the cut out image. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Get more ink on the tip of the pen as needed. Make some areas darker than others. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.

Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Squeeze the lid of the Pebbled Path Ink Pad to get ink in the lid. Use the Blender Pen to pick up ink from the pad lid and color in the centers of the poinsettia flowers on the cut out image. Remember to stroke in one direction only or the cardstock will tear and pill up. Get more ink on the tip of the pen as needed. Make some areas darker than others. Scribble on Grid Paper when you are done until no more ink is coming off the Blender Pen.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored poinsettias cut out to the front of the card as shown so it overlaps the bottom of the stamped tree and the right edge of the fence and the top of the grass fringe. Let some of the grass fringe overlap the flowers a bit.
