C heerful card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 5-3/4" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Dapper Denim Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets
- scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock
Place the Dapper Denim rectangle into the Seaside Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Make sure the embossing folder does NOT hang out over the edges of the platform or it will catch the edges of the Big Shot as you crank it through which could damage your folder and Big Shot. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the dry embossed Dapper Denim rectangle to the front of the Crushed Curry card.
Place some Grid Paper on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink. Place the Very Vanilla rectangle on top. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the long, single swoosh image from the Waterfront Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp once onto Grid Paper. Without re-inking, stamp it again horizontally across the Very Vanilla rectangle about 1" up from the bottom.
Mount the long, double-line swoosh image from the Waterfront Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Dapper Denim Pad. Stamp it below the light Crumb Cake line a few times. Re-ink the stamp some times. Let the lines overlap each other.
Mount the set of two palm tree trunks image from the Waterfront Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it on the far right of the light Crumb Cake strip with the bottoms of the trunks as close to the top of the water as you can get them and a slight tilt to the left.
Mount the set of two palm tree tops (fronds) from the Waterfront Set on Block B. Ink them up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp them on the top of the tree trunks. If desired, rotate the stamp a tiny bit and stamp again without re-inking.
Mount the small sun (circle) image from the Waterfront Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it to the left of the trees about 1/2" so the tops of the trees and the top of the sun are level.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 3" long oval. Place the stamped beach scene on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so it is centered over the beach scene. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a 3-1/4" long oval. Place the Garden Green rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the beach scene oval to the center of the Garden Green oval. Then, adhere the ovals to the right side of the card front about 3/4" from the top of the Dapper Denim layer.
Carefully peel up the protective backing on one side of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet piece and adhere the adhesive sheet to one side of the Crushed Curry strip. Leave the other protective backing piece in place.
Place the strip of Crushed Curry on the Precision Base Plate on top of the Platform on the Big Shot so that the adhesive side (with protective backing in place) is on the bottom (Crushed Curry facing up).
Pick out the "sunshine" thinlit from the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits. Place it on top of the Crushed Curry strip on the Big Shot. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush and Paper-Piercing Tool to remove the pieces.
Peel the protective backing off of the "sunshine" cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card so it overlaps the bottom of the beach scene oval and sticks out to the left.
Make sure the Grid Paper is on top of the Stampin' Pierce Mat to protect it from ink. Place the scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock on top. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image when you stamp.
Mount the "Wishing You a Season Filled with Love and Happiness" sentiment from the Hang Your Stocking Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Crumb Cake Cardstock so you get the words "Wishing You."
Use Paper Snips to carefully cut out the words "Wishing" and "You" in two separate pieces.
Adhere the words at slight angles just above the word "sunshine" on the left side using Mini Glue Dots.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Garden Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends.
Adhere at a slight angle to the lower right side of the beach scene oval using a Mini Glue Dot.
