Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Garden Green Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1-3/8" x 4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Night of Navy Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Garden Green Cardstock
Insert the Crumb Cake rectangle into the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder so the lines run horizontally across the horizontal cardstock. Run the folder with the cardstock inside through your die cutting and embossing tool.
Rub the VersaMark Pad all over the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle on the flatter side.
Lay the inked up Crumb Cake rectangle on top of some Grid Paper in the center. Sprinkle on some White Stampin' Emboss Powder so it covers the entire rectangle. Tap off excess powder. Return the excess powder to the container to use again later.
Heat the powder with the Heat Tool until it is completely melted (smooth and shiny).
Adhere the dry embossed and heat embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the front of Garden Green card.
Carefully remove a magnet from the back of the Stamparatus.
Tip: To make it easier to grab the magnets and to help keep them from breaking if they snap together, wrap them in strips of washi tape or masking tape leaving folded over pieces to grab on to.
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side. Put the Stamparatus Foam Mat on the base of the Stamparatus. Put a piece of Small Grid Paper on the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus.
Place the 1-1/4” x 4” strip of Very Vanilla Cardstock on the base of the Stamparatus so the top short edge is on the 1” horizontal line on the Small Grid Paper and the left long edge is on the 4” vertical line on the Small Grid Paper. The cardstock should be vertical. Use one magnet across the bottom to hold the cardstock in place.
Pick out the palm tree tops image from the Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set. Place the image upside down on the top of the vertical strip of vanilla cardstock on the Stamparatus base so that the top of the image just barely goes off the top edge of the cardstock and the right edge of the image goes off the right edge of the cardstock by a minute amount. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Garden Green Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue or the Simply Shammy. Close the plate onto the vanilla cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have a Garden Green Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
Remove the plate from the hinges and then reinsert it in the hinges one step down. Leave the cardstock in place. Re-ink the stamp on the plate and stamp. Repeat this procedure until you have stamped 4 sets of palm tree tops images all down the vanilla cardstock by stepping the plate down one hinge each time. Just remember to re-ink each time! Make sure the cardstock stays in the same place. Adjust the position of the magnet as needed.
Use the Simply Shammy to completely clean the stamp. Leave the stamp on the plate.
Remove the plate from the Stamparatus and flip it over and reinsert it into the Stamparatus on the right side. Make sure the cardstock is in the same place.
Pick out the palm tree trunks image from the Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set. Place the image upside down on the top of the vertical strip of vanilla cardstock on the Stamparatus base so that the tops of the trunks will stamp just below the centers of the palm tree tops. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.

Remove the stamped strip of cardstock from the Stamparatus. Adhere it to the 1-3/8" x 4" strip of Garden Green Cardstock in the center.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the matted palm trees strip to the front of the card on the left side leaving about ¼” of the Pinewood Planks layer showing.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-3/16" x 3-9/16". Put it in the center of the Night of Navy rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 1-7/8" x 3-3/16". Put it in the center of the remaining Very Vanilla rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Place the stitched vanilla rectangle cut out on the base of the Stamparatus so the top long edge is on the 3/4” horizontal line on the Small Grid Paper and the left short edge is on the 5-3/4” vertical line on the Small Grid Paper. The cardstock should be horizontal. Use one magnet across the left side to hold the cardstock in place.
Make sure the side of the plate with the palm tree tops image is in place on the Stamparatus.

Remove the cardstock from the Stamparatus.
As you are ready to stamp using the Waterfront Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put some paper (Grid Paper works great) on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the long, skinny, zig zag line image from the Waterfront Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp onto copy paper on top of Mat. WITHOUT REINKING, stamp on the stitched rectangle just to left of the palm trees and up from bottom about 3/8”. Move it over and stamp it again without re-inking to fill in empty spaces. Repeat a time or two until you are happy with the look.
Mount the long, skinny line from the Waterfront Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp on the stitched rectangle under the palm trees and ocean several times until you are happy with the look. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Mount the small circle image from the Waterfront Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Terracotta Tile Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the stitched rectangle so the top goes off the edge a bit.
Adhere the stamped beach scene on the vanilla stitched rectangle to the center of the Night of Navy stitched rectangle using SNAIL.
Use Tear & Tape Adhesive to adhere the matted beach scene to the card front so it overlaps the right edge of the matted palm trees strip just a bit and is about 1-1/4” from the bottom.
Mount the “Relax Your Way!,” “Thanks To You,” or “For You” sentiment from the A Good Man Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1” x 3” Garden Green strip.
Pick out the stitched rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies that cuts out a rectangle that is 7/16" x 2-1/2". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Using SNAIL, adhere the sentiment stitched rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the bottom of the matted beach scene.
Pick out an anchor from the Sail Away Trinkets. Adhere it to the card front using Mini Glue Dots so the top of the anchor is in the corner between the matted palm trees strip, matted beach scene, and sentiment rectangle cut out.
Cut 3” piece of 3/8" Denim Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Adhere the ribbon knot to the top of the anchor trinket with a Mini Glue Dot.
