VW FUN FOLD CARD Measurements

Fresh Freesia Card stock for base 14.8cm x 29.5cm or (5 7/8” x 11 5/8”)
Score at 4.8cm, 9.5cm, 14.3cm and 19.05cm or (1 7/8”, 3 ¾”, 4 5/8” and 7 ½”)

Fresh Freesia card stock for inner “V” panel
10.2cm x 15.2cm or (4” x 6”) x 1 piece
scored at 7.6cm

Fresh Freesia card stock for back panel where you write on
10.2cm x 7.6cm or (4” x 3”) x 1 piece

Card base DSP measurements
4.5cm x 14.3cm or (1 ¾” x 5 5/8”) x 4 pieces

“V” Card stock layers measurents
Basic White card stock 9.8cm x 7.1cm or (3 ¾” x 2 ¾”) x 3 pieces

Once you have your card base cut and scored, you can go ahead and layer your designer series paper on to each panel of the card base.

Next you can layer your basic white card stock and designer series paper on to the "V" fold Fresh Freesia card stock. If you want to run the edges through the Fresh Freesia ink or use a dauber to the edges, do this before attaching the layers together.

Attaching the "V" to the "W" is quite easy.
Position it on the front panel, I usually use my fingers as a guide as to how far in I want the panel to sit. Apply adhesive of choice to the left hand side of the left panel of the "V" only about 1/4 or 1/3 of the panel and attach to front panel of the card base.

The when you concertina your folds up it is very obvious where the back panel of the "V" will attach to on the card base. It attaches to the 4th panel of the "W". Once again I used my fingers as a guide and applied adhesive to the right hand side of the "V" panel about 1/4 or 1/3 in from the edge.

Once you have your card together you can then decorate the panels.

I used a couple of the Paper Butterflies from the Perennial Lavender suite collection. and applied some Fresh Freesia ink and Gorgeous Grape ink with a blending brush to add some colour. I then attached the butterflies with glue dots.

I stamped on the white card stock that is to be attached to the card base back panel using the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set and then layered the white piece to the Fresh Freesia panel. I then folded the card shut and with a pencil I marked where I wanted to place the panel on the back panel of the card base. (the pencil marks can be easily erased afterwards).

Lastly I stamped a sentiment from the Go to Greetings stamp set on to one of the banners from the Stylish Shape dies in Gorgeous Grape and then attached it to the card front "V" panel using dimensionals.
