P retty, spring card perfect for many occasions using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Wild Wasabi Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Basic Black Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of black leaf outlines on white background design from Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Wild Wasabi Cardstock
Place the Watercolor Wash stamp rubber side up in the middle of the Grid Paper.
Roll the Sponge Brayer across the open Wild Wasabi Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, roll it repeatedly onto the rubber of the Watercolor Wash stamp. Get more ink on the brayer as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Brayers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Place the piece of Just Add Color Designer Paper upside down in the center of the inky Watercolor Wash stamp. Fold the Grid Paper up and over the stamp and rub.
Tip: Using the background stamp this way makes it easier to make sure you have the cardstock or designer paper even and straight on the background stamp. Folding the Grid Paper up and over the stamp protects your fingers while you rub to transfer the ink.
Adhere the inked piece of designer paper to the Basic Black rectangle and then to the front of the Wild Wasabi card.
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Picnic with You Set or Vintage Leaves Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Wishing you a day ... " sentiment from the Picnic with You Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white rectangle.
Pick out the label framelit from the Lots of Labels Framelits that cuts out a 1-5/16" wide label. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the label framelit on top so it is centered over the sentiment. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the side of the brush tip of the Wild Wasabi Marker to outline the edges of the label.
Mount the slightly heart shaped leaf image from the Vintage Leaves Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Wild Wasabi Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Wild Wasabi rectangle.
Pick out the matching leaf framelit from the Leaflets Framelits. Place the stamped leaf image on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the leaf framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped leaf image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the leaf cut out to the lower left side of the sentiment label so the stem is pointing slightly down and to the right.
Flip the leaf/sentiment label over. Put some Stampin' Dimensionals on the back. Remove the protective backings from the dimensionals.
Wrap some Black Metallic Thread around your fingers a few times. Cut the thread loose from the spool. Adhere the loops of thread to the dimensionals on the back of the leaf/sentiment label so they will stick out to the top, bottom, and left sides when the leaf/sentiment label is turned over.
Adhere the leaf/sentiment label with thread loops in place to the upper right of the card front.
Pick out a large Metal Rimmed Pearl. Peel off the protective backing and adhere it to the junction between the right side of the leaf just above the stem and the sentiment label.
Carefully peel up a circle from a sheet of Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the lower left side of the leaf cut out.
Carefully peel up four more circles from a sheet of Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
