D id you know that when you scratch Vellum Cardstock (101856) it turns white in addition to puffing up that area? Using this technique will give your projects and cards a very beautiful and unique look. I used this technique with the Lilypad Lake stamp set. I love the way the crane and lilypad flowers puff up.

Stamp the crane and lilypad and images on Vellum Cardstock with Momento Black ink, let it dry or you can speed dry with the heat tool (be sure not to overheat the vellum and burn it). Stamp grass from High Tide stamp set in Old Olive ink then turn over and start to scratch the area you want to raise/puff and turn white with a stylus. Use round movements in larger areas.
Using Stampin' Blends or Stampin' Write Markers you can color in the raised area or just leave it white. For this card, I used Lovely Lipstick and Old Olive Light Stampin' Blends.
Using the sponge dauber inked in So Saffron ink press on the upper right side of the vellum to look like the Sun.
Adhere Bermuda Bay embossed piece to Melon Mambo piece then wrap the black satin ribbon to the bottom front area. Adhere these pieces to the Basic Black card base using snail adhesive.
Glue down vellum piece to the stamped Whisper White piece using glue dots, place the glue dots behind the large area of the crane, the lilypads and the sponged sun.
Adhere these pieces to the Bermuda Bay piece using Stampin' Dimensionals.
Glue stamped Whisper White and Melon Mambo punched pieces together and then glue to the black satin ribbon. Adhere Iridescent Sequin with multi-purpose liquid glue and let dry.
