Project Recipe
Preparations
Real Red 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4
Blushing Bride (2) 4x 5 1/4
Basic White 3 7/8 x 5 1/8, 1/4 x 4
Sweet Talk DSP 3 7/8 x 3
Vellum 2 1/4 x 2 1/4
*** For classes I am doing this in advance. If you plan to make a number of these cards, I suggest doing the same as it is a bit messy. ***
Punch heart from Vellum. This step will be done first so it is completely dry. Lay the heart on the open Real Red Inkpad. Using popsicle stick or other tool, make sure the heart is completely inked (you can see through the vellum.) Lay ink side down into a tray of clear embossing powder. Be sure it is covered, then carefully drop into a box right side up and heat emboss. Be very careful as vellum will melt so be quick.
Fold and score Real Red card base. Attach Blushing Bride pieces to inside and to the front.
Attach DSP to the bottom of one of the Basic White pieces. In Real Red ink stamp desired sentiment above the DSP and to the right side of the Basic White. Wrap ribbon around and attach to the back. Attach to card front.
Stamp desired sentiments, images and hearts to the other Basic White using Real Red and Blushing Bride ink. Stamp envelope at this time too. Attach this Basic White to inside of the card.
Attach a strip of Foam Adhesive Strip to the Basic White strip. Set aside.
Attach the stick (white strip with adhesive strip already attached) to the back of the embossed red heart with a bit of snail runner. Then attach the sucker to the card front at an angle. The adhesive strip on the back of the "stick" is all you will need to adhere.
Tie a bow and adhere to the sucker using glue dots. Then if desired add the Iridescent Rhinestones on bottom corner of the card. I placed one medium rhinestone with a smaller rhinestone on each side.
