A 100% Stampin' Up! card part of the Creative Circle Blog Hop for April 2018
Project Recipe
Use the card base from the Tutti Frutti cards and envelopes set found in the Sale A Bration catalog 2018
For the art piece cut Whisper White card stock 4 x 5.25 - do not attach to card front yet
Cut one flourish from the Flourish Thinlits dies out of Whisper White card stock.
Cut a piece of copy paper 4.25 x 5.5 - using either the 2.5" circle punch or a circle die of similar dimension from the Layering Circles dies to cut a hole where you will want the circle design to be on your card front.
Now that you have created a "mask" lay that over the Whisper White art piece and with sponges sponge the colors onto the card stock. I started with the lightest color all over from the top of the circle down and then added the other colors moving down from lightest to darkest color.
Once the cirlce is colored remove the 'mask'
To create the "splatter" squeeze the closed Tangerine Tango ink pad so that ink gets smooshed into the lid. Open it up and spritz the ink in the lid with water. Using a brush pick up the color from the lid and tap the brush on your finger to splash the color onto the card.
Attach the flourish. I use Zig Two Way Squeeze glue pens because they have a fine tip and it makes it easy to apply glue to the delicate parts of the flourish.
Attach this completed piece to the card front using Snail adhesive
On a piece of Whisper White card stock stamp the bird from the Best Birds stamp set with Basic Black Archival ink. Let it dry or dry it with a heat tool. It takes a while for the black ink to dry on the Whisper White and you don't want it to smear.
Use the sponges and colors to color the bird, cut it out using the coordinating Birds & Blooms Thinlits. Attach to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
