Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
- 3" x 5-1/2" of purple tulips and greenery on light purple background design from Flowering Fields 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers are vertical on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/4" x 2" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 1-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
As you are ready to stamp using the Tulip Fields Set and Special Moments Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the long, thin line of stylized tulip flowers image from the Tulip Fields Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it along the top edge of the folded Highland Heather card so it is close to the fold line and the tops of the flowers are pointing up. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the long, thin line of stylized tulip flowers image on Block I with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it along the bottom edge of the Highland Heather card so it is close to the bottom edge and the tops of the flowers are pointing up.
Adhere the piece of Flowering Fields Designer Paper to the center of the Rich Razzleberry rectangle. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the matted designer paper to the front of the stamped card so it is centered between the stamped lines of stylized tulips. The left and right edges will be even.
Mount the small sentiment of choice from the Special Moments Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper left corner of the horizontal white rectangle, leave room to cut things out with the die.
Pick out the scalloped, stitched rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2" x 3-1/4" from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Put it on top of the sentiment stamped rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is in the upper left corner. Run through the machine.
Mount the tree image from the Tulip Fields Set on Block B. Use the brush tip of the Evening Evergreen Marker to ink up only the leaves at the top of the tree. Don't ink up the trunk. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp the top of the tree in the lower right corner of the sentiment rectangle cut out. Stay inside the stitched lines.
If desired, use the fine tip of the Evening Evergreen Marker to draw in some random lines along the bottom of the tree top to fill in the bottom of the bush.
Mount the tiny group of little bushes from the Tulip Fields Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the sentiment rectangle cut out staying just inside the stitched lines.
Adhere the completely stamped sentiment rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is about 1" from the top.
Peel the protective backing off of the Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to one side of the Highland Heather rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the bicycle die from the Windmill Fields Dies. Put it on top of the Highland Heather rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the Highland Heather (purple) side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the bicycle cut out. Adhere it to the bottom of the sentiment rectangle cut out as shown so it is just above the stitched line.
Cut a 4" piece of the Evening Evergreen 3/8" Windowpane Check Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle over the bottom right corner of the sentiment rectangle cut out.
