Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Pretty Peacock Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of green leaves and pink and coral birds of paradise flowers on blue green background design from Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 5" of brown woven mat design from Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper
- 1/2" x 2" of green leaves and pink and coral birds of paradise flowers on blue green background design from Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- small scrap of Terracotta Tile Cardstock
- small scraps of Grapefruit Grove Cardstock
Adhere the large piece of the birds of paradise Tropical Oasis Designer Paper to the front of the Pretty Peacock card.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the strip of brown woven mat design Tropical Oasis Designer Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Adhere the small strip of birds of paradise Tropical Oasis Designer Paper to the top of the punched woven mat designer paper banner so about 1/4" of brown shows at the top.
Cut a 2-3/4" piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim.
Lay the trim across the center of the birds of paradise paper strip at the top of the punched banner. Secure the trim in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the punched designer paper banner. Adhere the banner to the front of the card so it is centered.
Cut a 5" piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim. Fold the trim in half.
Slide one end of the folded trim under the trim already on the card so it is on the right edge. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Mount the large, leafy frond image from the Tropical Chic Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the Old Olive rectangles. Repeat with the other Old Olive rectangle.
Pick out the matching open, leafy frond die from the Tropical Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped frond images on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the image is centered. Run through the tool. Repeat with the other stamped frond image.
Adhere the leafy frond cut outs to the front of the card so they overlap each other and the designer paper banner and the stems are tucked under the trim knot.
Pick out the word "hooray" die from the Well Written Dies. Put it on top of the Pretty Peacock rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the "hooray" cut out to the front of the card so it is centered across the fronds on the banner and the top of the "h" is about 1/2" below the trim.
Pick out all 3 tiny, four-petal flower dies from the Well Written Dies. Put them on top of the scraps of Grapefruit Grove and Terracotta Tile Cardstock on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the tool. Use the Take Your Pick Die Brush Tip and paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the little flower cut outs to the front of the card as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 small Old Olive rhinestones from a sheet of Noble Peacock Rhinestones making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the centers of the flower cut outs.
