Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Fresh Freesia Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 2-1/8" x 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bubble Bath Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" from Bubble Bath Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 1-3/4" x 5-1/8" of small pink, yellow, and white tulips with dark blue leaves and stems on blue background design from Delightfully Eclectic 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper, cut so the flowers are vertical on the vertical rectangles
- 2 pieces each 1" x 2" from Bubble Bath Cardstock each scored at 1"
- 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" from Bubble Bath Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
Fold the Fresh Freesia card in half. Fold the score line at the 2-1/8" mark on the front so it is a mountain fold.
Fold both of the 1" x 2" pieces of Bubble Bath Cardstock in half on the 1" score line.
Put Tear & Tape Adhesive on one side of one of the folded 1" x 2" Bubble Bath pieces. Remove the protective backings and adhere the piece to the front of the card so the fold line of the small strip is just barely to the left of the fold line on the card front and is centered top to bottom.
Put Tear & Tape Adhesive on one side of the other folded 1" x 2" Bubble Bath piece. Remove the protective backings and adhere the piece to the front of the card so the fold line of the small strip is just barely to the right of the fold line on the card front and is centered top to bottom even with the first piece.
Adhere the designer paper strips to the centers of the 1-7/8" x 5-1/4" Bubble Bath pieces.
Adhere the matted designer paper strips to the front of the card so they are centered on the two front panels and cover the backs of the small folded Bubble Bath strips. The other ends of the folded Bubble Bath strips should be sticking up.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-5/8" x 4" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" Bubble Bath rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 2-1/4" x 3-1/2" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" white rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Mount the single leaf image from the Translucent Florals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it near the center of the vertical white rectangle cut out so it is horizontal and the tip of the leaf almost touches the left edge. Leave the stamp on the block.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle cut out to the center of the Bubble Bath rectangle cut out.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on top of the folded over Bubble Bath strips attached to the card front. Remove the protective backings. Adhere the matted rectangle cut outs to the tops of the strips so the rectangles are centered over the card front.
This creates the panel that floats on top of the card and sticks out when the card is folded open.
Re-ink the single leaf image on Block B with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on one side of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" white rectangle.
Mount the medium, half flower image from the Translucent Florals Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Bubble Bath Ink Pad. Stamp it on one side of the 1-3/4" x 5" white strip. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the medium, half flower image on Block C with the Bubble Bath Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the vertical 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle so it is about 1/4" from the bottom and the right edge of the image goes off the right edge of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the medium, half flower image on Block C with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the 1-3/4" x 5" white strip leaving room between the image to cut them out.
Pick out the matching, open half flower die from the Translucent Florals Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped flowers on the white strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the flower. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other flower on the white strip.
Adhere the two half flower cut outs to the top of the white rectangle cut out on the card front so they overlap each other and the sides of the rectangles a bit as shown The one on the left should also overlap the top of the stamped leaf a small amount. Make sure no adhesive goes over the edges of the rectangles though or your panel will be stuck and won't float.
Mount the "happy birthday" sentiment from the Translucent Florals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal 1-1/2" x 3-1/4" white strip.
Unlock the Double Oval Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the smooth oval punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Slide the thin Fresh Freesia strip into the unlocked Double Oval Punch and get it centered in the scalloped oval punching area. Punch.
Adhere the smooth, white, sentiment oval punch out to the center of the scalloped, Fresh Freesia punch out.
Adhere the matted sentiment ovals to the front of the card so they are centered at the bottom of the white rectangle cut out as shown.
Mount the double leaf image from the Translucent Florals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other side of the 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" white rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open leaf dies from the Translucent Florals Dies. Put them on top of the stamped leaves on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so they are centered over the leaves. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the double leaves cut out to the front of the card as shown so it is on the right side of the white rectangle cut out and overlaps the bottoms of the flower cut outs and the top of the matted sentiment ovals a bit.
Mount the small flower bud image from the Translucent Florals Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Fresh Freesia Ink Pad. Stamp it two times on the 1" x 2" white rectangle leaving space between the images so you can cut them out.
Pick out the matching, open bud die from the Translucent Florals Dies. Put it on top of one of the stamped buds on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine. Repeat with the other bud image.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere one of the bud cut outs to the front of the card as shown so it is near the center of the white rectangle cut out and overlaps the bottoms of the flower cut outs and the left side of the double leaves cut out a bit.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Bubble Bath ribbon from the 3/8" Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card as shown so it is centered below the bud cut out.
Mount the "wishing you all the happiness..." sentiment from the Translucent Florals Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped, vertical 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle.
Mount the thin stem image from the Translucent Florals Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the bottom right corner of the vertical, stamped white rectangle so it appears to be coming from the base of the previously stamped flower image and goes off the bottom edge of the cardstock.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the 4" x 5-1/4" Bubble Bath rectangle and then to the inside of the card.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the single leaf cut out to the white rectangle on the inside of the card so it overlaps the left side of the stamped flower and the bottom tip overlaps the stem a bit as shown.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the remaining bud cut out to the white rectangle on the inside of the card so it overlaps the left side of the stamped flower and is tucked under the top of the leaf cut out a bit as shown.
Fold the card open and use the popped up leaf and bud cut outs to hold the triangular card front open.
