Cut So Saffron card base 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and score at 4 1/4
Cut 16 or so strips of Purple Posy 4" x 1/2"
Adhere strips in a criss-cross pattern. Start with them going all in one direction, and do them all going in the other direction. The strips will all hang over the edge as shown in the attached photo. Turn the card over and trim the excess from the backside using your paper snips.
Cut a piece of Purple Posy 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.
Cut out a frame using the 2nd largest stitched rectangle die.
Then adhere the frame onto the card over the lattice.
In the next step, you will stamp and emboss the leaf branch from the Vine Design stamp set onto a piece of Purple Posy cardstock.
You won't need green embossing powder though. I am going to show you a trick where you can make your embossed images any color by using your inkpads.
Place the leaf stamp onto an acrylic block.
Cover the stamp with Versamark ink
Next, ink it up with Garden Green ink
(always use the Versamark first and then the colored inkpad second)
Sprinkle with clear embossing powder and use your heat tool to set.
This trick can be used with any color ink you have. No need to buy different color embossing powders. All you need is Versamark, a colored inkpad and clear embossing powder.
From the larger set of dies in the Stitched Nested Label dies, select the 2nd largest one and die cut the green branch using your Stampin Cut & Emboss machine.
Put dimensionals on the back and adhere the label to the center of the card.
Stamp the flowers in the Tranquil Thoughts stamp set twice onto a scrap of white cardstock with Pacific Point ink (use the flower image in this photo). Fussy cut them out. Put dimensionals on the back of the two large flowers.
Adhere one on top of the branch to the right. Then glue two smaller ones by tucking them underneath the larger one.
Adhere the other large flower to the left so that it pops up on the dimensional. Then glue one (or even two) smaller ones tucked under it.
Make a knot in some Purple Posy Scalloped linen ribbon and adhere to the card using Stampin Seal +. Liquid glue and regular Stampin Seal are not strong enough to hold ribbon. Stampin' Seal+ works great though on anything where you need more adhesion, like ribbon.
For the sentiment, I used Happy Birthday from Many Messages. Truth be told, I used it because I had already stamped and cut out the messages from the stamp set and had them on hand. But you could just as easily use a birthday sentiment from another stamp set you have - or you could use a different sentiment altogether. Make it a Spring sentiment or Easter, or even Mother's Day.
