- card from Call Me Clover Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3-7/8" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/2" from Bermuda Bay Cardstock
- 1" square from Whisper White Cardstock
Lightly spritz the Crumb Cake rectangle with water and insert into the Stone 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Mount the single, standing meerkat image from the The Gang's All Meer Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the large white rectangle. Leave a little room beneath his feet and about 1-3/8" to the right of him. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the single, standing meerkat image on Block B with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on a Post-It Note so it is over the sticky part on the back of the note.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the meerkat image on the Post-It Note just inside the stamped lines.
Put the Post-It Note meerkat over the top of the meerkat stamped on the white rectangle.
Mount the cactus image from the The Gang's All Meer Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the white rectangle so it overlaps the left side of the meerkat Post-It Note just a bit. Leave a little room beneath the image.
Remove the Post-It Note meerkat.
Tip: Put the Post-It Note meerkat inside the stamp case to use on future projects where you want to do some masking.
Mount the meerkat popping up from a hole image from the The Gang's All Meer Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle just to the right of the previously stamped meerkat. Leave a little room beneath the image and a little room between the two meerkats.
As you are ready to stamp using the Bonanza Buddies Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the set of three crossing strings image from the Bonanza Buddies Set on Block B. Ink it up using the Memento Pad. Stamp off onto Grid Paper. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the strings on the white rectangle so they appear to be held by the standing meerkat and angle off to the right over the other meerkat's head.
Mount the solid circle balloon image from the Bonanza Buddies Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it at the top of the longest string in the bunch. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Re-ink the solid circle balloon image on Block A with the Call Me Clover Ink Pad. Stamp it at the top of the string on the left side of the bunch. It's okay if it overlaps the center string and the blue balloon a bit. WITHOUT RE-INKING, stamp the balloon again at the top of the string on the right side of the bunch. It's okay if it overlaps the center string and the blue balloon a bit. Clean the stamp using the Simply Shammy and/or Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Make sure you have some paper (Grid Paper works great) at your work space.to protect the work surface. The Stampin' Blends Markers will bleed through the cardstock that you are coloring so you need to protect your work surface.
Place the desert scene stamped white rectangle on the work paper and start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Dark and Light Crumb Cake Markers to color in the meerkats.
Use the Dark and Light Call Me Clover Markers to color in the base of the cactus.
Use the Dark and Light Bermuda Bay Markers to color in the flowers on the cactus.
Use the Dark and Light Soft Suede and Dark and Light Crumb Cake Markers to color in the ground. Draw in any empty spaces left by the stamped images as needed
Use the Color Lifter Marker to remove any excess color as needed.
If the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed Crumb Cake rectangle to the left side of the stamped and colored white rectangle.
Adhere the white rectangle with dry embossed Crumb Cake layer attached to the large Bermuda Bay rectangle.
Cut a 4-3/4" piece of Call Me Clover 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon across the matted white/Crumb Cake rectangle so it covers the seam between the two layers. Secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add SNAIL to the back of the Bermuda Bay rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Call Me Clover card.
Mount the "Let's Celebrate You!" sentiment from the Bonanza Buddies Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the thin Bermuda Bay strip near one end, but leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Classic Label Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch.
Cut the right tip off the sentiment punch out using Paper Snips.
Adhere the cut sentiment punch out to the front of the card so the cut right edge slides under the ribbon about 7/8" from the top.
Cut an 8" piece of the Call Me Clover 1/8" Grosgrain Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon in a small bow and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow at a slight angle to the ribbon already on the card front at the end of the sentiment punch out.
Cut a 6" piece of the Bermuda Bay Twine from the Metallic Baker's Twine & Sequins Combo Pack.
Tie the twine in a tiny bow and trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow at a slight angle to the card front at the base of the blue balloon. You will need to squish the glue dot down in size a bit.
Mount the striped party hat bottom image from the Bonanza Buddies Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Call Me Clover Ink Pad. Stamp the image in the center of the small square of white cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the party hat bottom image cutting it down in size a bit as you go.
Adhere the party hat bottom cut out to the top of the head of the meerkat poking up from the hole.
Pick out a Bermuda Bay pompom from the Assorted Pompoms. Press the pompom to a Mini Glue Dot on the roll of glue dots. Adhere the pompom to the top of the party hat.
