Project Recipe
Cut your vellum to size. Measure around your candle and add half of an inch for the circumference. Then cut as tall as you want this candle to be. {3 1/2" to 4" tall is good.}
Swipe the marker color of choice on your sponge dauber. Tap the dauber on the vellum to add layers of color. Ink with the marker, then repeat. Keep repeating until all of the vellum is covered, in the color(s) of your choice.
Ink your stamp with the Stazon Ink. Stamp on vellum with your inked stamp. Be sure to let the ink dry completely before you proceed. Be sure to clean your stamp immediately with the Stazon Ink cleaner.
Use the Sticky Strip adhesive to Glue the base of the vellum. Also add sticky strip on one side of the stamped vellum and wrap around the electric tea light to adhere.
Notes:
If you are using wood mounted stamp sets, you won't need the clear acrylic blocks. The clear blocks are only for the clear mount stamp sets.
Blendabilities are alcohol based markers. I have included several different colors on this list. Please select the colors you prefer. They come in a set of 3. Additional selections are available on the website.
Electric votives candles can be found at craft and hobby stores. They have also been found at places like Ross, Marshall's, Home Goods and TJMaxx, as well as in the DollarTree. Do not use real votive candles with this technique due to the fire hazard.
